Posted on 06/02/2017 1:07:26 PM PDT by Jim W N
Sen. Rand Paul debates CNN host Jake Tapper on the issue of climate change, and the president's decision to withdraw from the Paris climate accord.
Paul argued that scientists have been predicting disaster for decades, while Tapper disagreed, claiming about the predictions: "all of it has happened."
"You need to make sure that your viewers know that most of [climate scientists] models has been wrong," Paul said. "They adjust it every year because they havent been good at predicting things."
"But obviously scientists have been predicting for years that the temperatures would go up, that glaciers would shrink, that sea ice would disappear, that oceans would rise, that the sea level would rise and there would be longer and more intense heat waves and all of that has happened, Senator," Tapper argued. "All of it has happened."
Paul describes what "a better climate deal" would look like:
- Well first you wouldn't lose 6 million American jobs.
- One of the reasons President Trump was elected is he promised to defend American workers and American jobs. There are estimates that this agreement, which is unfair, and punishes America... that we would lose 6 and a half million jobs, while countries like India and Iran -- We would have to pay them to reduce their carbon emissions.
- I can't imagine a worse agreement than this thing for the American worker...
- [The 6.5 million jobs] are in the energy industry... because of excessive regulation.
- So if America has to reduce her Carbon footprint by 20%, but China doesn't have to reduce their at all, how could that possibly be fair? Who in their right minds would sign something that says China doesn't have to do anything.

1) the title of this Leftist "climate" narrative going from "global warming" to "climate change" indicative that nobody knows whether the climate is getting warmer or colder and
2) the absence of clear data of man being the cause of climate change and the % natural causes vs. man-made causes, and the absolute presumption of Leftists like Tapper that the significant % is man-made.
The Left WANTS man-made climate change. Why? Because it will help them get what they're REALLY after: global redistribution of wealth and totalitarian government.
The preposterous and deceptive Left who themselves are deceived.
Keep telling it like it is, Rand!
Jake, did you take any science courses in college?
“...Paul argued that scientists have been predicting disaster for decades, while Tapper disagreed, claiming about the predictions: “all of it has happened.”
OMG!!!!!!!! New York is underwater....
The snow and ice are gone from Kilimanjaro....
The Artic is ice free....
Polar bears are almost extinct...
So Tapper thinks we’re all dead?
Saw that, but it was so good, thought it bore another shot over the bow so to speak.

Just another redistributionist scheme by those who have been ignoring the limits and protections of liberty provided within the U. S. Constitution!
Decent comments and links on the other thread, that's all.
You got that right my FRiend.
Redistribution. Their favorite word.
As long as it’s not their money.
Can’t believe I’m saying this, but good for Rand.
Look, the climate is definitely changing. Summers are warmer, winters can be warmer or colder. In doing what I do, I see it first hand. Speaking to winemakers in Italy and CA, every single one harvests earlier each year, at higher alcohol levels. So it looks obvious that the climate is warming, right? Yet in this same thought pattern, these same vineyards offer other clues.
In Tuscany, some 1,400 feet above sea level, my friend routinely digs oyster and clam shells from his vineyards. Some of the shells are the size of my head; so you can imagine how long they have been there. At lower altitude - some 450 feet above sea level, another Tuscan winery found a fully intact fossilized whale skeleton.
So where did these oceans go? WHY did they go? And when did they go? Clearly the industrialized revolution and the world population boom hadn’t occurred at the times these examples were placed by nature.
The top 5 “polluters” in the world are 1) China 2) USA 3) India 4)Russia 5)Brazil. After that, it’s Japan, the UK and Germany. Essentially where all the world’s people live. Doesn’t this give a clue? This is where goods are produced for everyone else. Where food is grown for the world.
Are their carbon emissions? Of course! Is the earth warming? Cooling? I think it is, definitely. Is man a part of it? Yes, I think so. The biggest cause or only cause? I don’t see how anyone can definitively say given the relatively simple examples I mention above.
Sorry for the rant. I guess my point is, maybe there’s more pollution and therefore more “warming” simply because there’s more people. Duh.
So let’s get rid of some undesireables. :)
Have a good weekend.
Global Warming - Climate Change world biggest hoax and scam.
Just like Obama causing Global Flooding by pissing in the ocean.
That much can humans contribute.
Elaborate scam to screw off taxpayers off their money!
Earth climate and changes are dependent on Suns and Sunspots activity supplying 99.99% of energy. Humans can do schit about it.
Volcano eruptions can produce much more distractions to climate than all humans and SUVs farting together.
CO2 is not poison, it is food for plants, which in turn produce Oxygen, that we need to breathe.
STOP the scam, jail all the scammers!!!
God bless and protect Mr. Trump!
But he’s hired to make sure they don’t know that.
Must have something to do with the “Delayed Choice” experiments.
Kilimanjaro is a volcano...
It has an ice and snow crust...Check it out...
Thank you for referencing that article Jim 0216. As usual, please note that the following critique is directed at the article and not at you.
Garbage in, garbage out.
Computer-based climate models have been doing exactly what the people who program them are paid to make them do imo.
