Comedian Kathy Griffin held a press conference Friday with her attorney regarding the backlash surrounding the image of her holding up a faux severed head of President Donald Trump.
During her opening statement, Griffin said the reaction from the White House is something that has never been seen before.
"A sitting president of the United States and his grown children and the first lady are personally—I feel—personally trying to ruin my life forever. Forever," the comic said. "You guys know him, he's never going to stop."
Since images and video of her controversial photo shoot were posted earlier this week, Griffin has been fired from CNN's New Year's Eve coverage team, and Sen. Al Franken (D., Minn.) has canceled an upcoming appearance with Griffin.
This woman and her lawyer are both totally insane. I could not believe both my eyes and ears at the lunacy words coming from their both their pie holes!!! If this is what a “Democrat” is...I want no part of what they are selling!!!
I did hear some mumbling & rumbling that Kathy Griffin is headed for the state of Georgia to hook up tightly with Jon “Pajama Boy” Ossoff, who is the current Democrat candidate in the Georgia 6th CD special election. She feels that with her close, lock-step, tight, relationship with Ossoff...that these two birds of a feather, can dance together, and come up with a solid victory for the Democrat Party, on June 20th!!!
Don’t know if this tidbit is true or has real legs, but...I sincerely believe, that Ms. Griffin has already cost Ossoff any election victory he might have had!!! The Democrats, as a group, are in full collapse, self-inflicted political destruction!!!

I’d actually have MORE respect for her if she decided to double-down and be defiant about it. At least that would have been honest.
This to me is the sign of someone who may be in a dry drunk. To do what she did, urged by that idiot photographer, has to come from someone who is out of touch with reality.
Griffin's act, while tasteless and grotesque, will do plenty to help Republicans get re-elected in 2018, and perhaps 2020. The more ridiculous, the more crazy, the more foolish the actions, the more people get driven away from the Dem party and over to, frankly, anything else.
Think about it. Would any fence-sitter, anyone in their right mind, look at Griffin's photo and think, "You know, I voted for Trump, but Griffin's courageous stance changes my mind...." Far from it, in fact, the foolishness that I've seen over the past months simply convinces me that I absolutely did the right thing (I was questioning it, back on Nov 8th...) in voting for Trump.
So, democrats, keep up the hard work! Break out the genitalia hats, and big stupid paper-mache puppets! There's work to be done, and lots of people to convert to conservatism!

Against the backdrop of Kathy Griffin producing a video where she decapitated President Donald Trump; and yesterday hiring attorney Lisa Bloom to conduct a press conference scheduled for today, it is worth noting an interview Ms. Griffin gave to Vulture Media at the Equality Now Gala in December of 2016:
[…] “So I’m happy to deliver beat down to Donald Trump — and also to Barron. You know a lot of comics are going to go hard for Donald, my edge is that I’ll go direct for Barron. I’m going to get in ahead of the game.”
