Former terror leader Oscar López Rivera will not be honored at this year’s Puerto Rican Day parade, after the ex-FALN chieftain decided to turn down the award in the face of a widespread parade boycott.
Organizers of the June 11 march said the freed terror boss will forgo the “National Freedom Hero” honor and instead just march as a “humble” grandfather.
“He declined the honorary title at the parade. We respect that decision,” parade spokesman Andres Chavez said.

They could no longer ignore the financial repercussions from the civilized world. Families of loved ones killed by these terrorists are still alive, and have been very vocal.

Yeah it was “his” idea - riiiiight! I live in NYC and I am amazed this happened. I think it is a very good sign that even it a liberal cesspool like this truth won out. The real hero here was Goya Foods; without them pulling out first this might not have happened. Goya knows its customers better than the liberal anti America Democrats do. They knew the Puerto Rican people do not support blowing people up and never have.
I’m all in favor of giving Puerto Rick what the FALN wants, independence.
