President Trump has made his decision to withdraw from the Paris climate accord, according to two sources with direct knowledge of the decision. Details on how the withdrawal will be executed are being worked out by a small team including EPA Administrator Scott Pruitt. They're deciding on whether to initiate a full, formal withdrawal which could take 3 years or exit the underlying United Nations climate change treaty, which would be faster but more extreme.
Why this matters: Pulling out of Paris is the biggest thing Trump could do to unravel Obama's climate legacy. It sends a combative signal to the rest of the world that America doesn't prioritize climate change and threatens to unravel the ambition of the entire deal.
How it happened: A letter from 22 Republican Senators (including Mitch McConnell) that called for a clean exit had reinforced Trump's instincts to withdraw, and the president had been telling confidants over the past week that he was going to pull out.

Well, as another poster said, it will be nice to see Russia off the headlines for a day.
Damage has already been done.
Great Lakes ore boats were forced to use 100 percent N2 fuel (diesel) instead of N6 oil which is $1.00 gallon cheaper. The 1,000 footers consume 70,000 gallons a week.
That’s a big hickey.
It is a BIG help that his EPA Director has a brain and a conscience, and uses them both. Winning. MAGA.
I would argue that Germany is closer to Damascus than El Paso.
That is, it is not a bad thing to have some troops, and planes, and armour placed forward for rapid deployment. If the level of strength is to be maintained, much of the cost in Germany is not so different than in Texas.
Names of sources? ;-)

Don’t tell anyone but the names of the sources are:

“In effect it seems that Trumps gambit eas successful”
It was and is successful. The problem with the Euro’s is that there’s still a significant lingering distrust of the Hun amongst them. Their two rocks, their security blankets up to this point gave been the US and the U.K. Now that the UK has left the EU and is somewhat going its own way and the US is making noises about the Euro’s paying their fair share, etc, they’re becoming worried (scared actually) of pending German hegemony. Personally, I think it’s inevitable. I’m thinking the Euro’s should learn German....
Don’t you end up with soap in your hair then?
I’ll believe it if and when Trump says it. Until then this is fake newa. Maybe they know he won’t pull out and want to anger his supporters even more. Pass on this but of fake news

Odds are Trump will break promise to void Paris Agreement

I waited almost 20 posts to see that. Just goes to show, nothing remains uncorrected at FR. An error’s an error, no matter how small!
(No offense. You did it with humor.) :)
How the hell does this take 3 years to pull out of? Its not a treaty ratified by congress.
looking more definite....just do it President Trump. it will be a great day for science:

OK!! Everybody pay attention!
Lesson for today:
1. The sun is 1,300,000 times as big as the earth.
2. The sun is a giant nuclear furnace that controls the climates of all its planets.
3. The earth is one of the suns planets.
4. The earth is a speck in comparison to the size of the sun.
5. Inhabitants of the earth are less than specks.
Study Question: How do less-than-specks in congress plan to control the sun?
Pulling out of Paris is the biggest thing Trump could do to unravel Obama’s climate legacy.
The Paris Climate Deal is nothing more than a massive transfer of hundreds of billions of dollars (overwhelmingly from the United States) to poor countries. It has nothing to do with saving the planet, other than the fake scare of “climate change” was a useful tool to get the public to buy into it.
Out of all the “bad deals” the U.S. has signed on to, this was probably the worst.
xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx
to make matters even worse, it would require USA taxpayers to borrow hundreds of billions of dollars to give them away.
how crazy is this?
Best explanation against human-caused global warming!
