CNN is evaluating Kathy Griffin’s role in its annual New Year’s Eve coverage following the comic's controversial photo shoot in which she posed with a decapitated, bloody head resembling President Trump.
“We found what she did disgusting and offensive,” CNN said in a statement Tuesday. “We are pleased to see she has apologized and asked that the photos be taken down. We are evaluating our New Year’s Eve coverage and have made no decisions at this point."
Griffin earlier Tuesday apologized for the photo, noting that she had crossed a line.
“I sincerely apologize,” she said in a 31-second video posted on Twitter. “I’m a comic. I cross the line. I move the line and then I cross it. I went way too far. The image is way too disturbing.” “I understand how it offends people,” Griffin added. “It wasn’t funny. I get it. I’ve made a lot of mistakes in my career, I’ll continue.”
Griffin also asked for forgiveness in the vide, promising to take the image down. The photo, however, had already sparked debate on social media and caused "Kathy Griffin" to trend on Twitter.
Griffin has co-hosted CNN’s “New Year’s Eve Live” broadcast every January since 2007 when she joined network anchor Anderson Cooper.
Cooper tweeted earlier in the evening that he was "appalled" by the photo.

They probably won’t cancel her. They will post some lame nonsense about how appalled they are while high fiving it off camera. CNN is the top enemy of America dedicating all coverage possible to attacking Trump by any means necessary. Not even a terrorist attack will deter the Russian narrative.

Anderson Cooper SAYS he was appalled. Will he refuse to work with her, or is it all water under the bridge now?
And WHY didn’t Cooper speak out sooner? Why did he wait to react?

And she said she “SINCERELY” apologized. So now I am convinced she means it. Not!
Remember, the apology was written before the photos hit the nets. Everything with these radicals is calculated, weighed, and planned, before they roll it out.

Well, the previous New Year’s, I did a “Fawlty Towers” fest with my DVD player. So with or without her being on, I will probably do the same, and there are my vintage hockey videos as well or watching Jenny McCarthy, etc.
