On Fox News recently, Trey Gowdy talked about potential corruption that went on under former President Barack Obama. He was asked about the unmasking that went on under Susan Rice and Obama and the illegal leaks that have happened since that should not be covered up by the left.
"This unmasking," Gowdy said on Fox. "That is a privilege to be able to request that a U.S. person's name be unmasked. I want to know who's making the request [and] what is the evidentiary basis of that request? And if it's late in your tenure – like the day before you leave office – that should send off alarms and sirens in your head as to why that person did it."

Problem with Gowdy is that he’s all talk, but no action.
It’s not Gowdy: it’s the system. The only action congress can do, after investigating, is turn their material over to the FBI or hold someone in contempt of congress which also needs outside agencies for actual punitive consequences .
Only DOJ can take action.
Congress can only investigate.
Without Gowdy the Hillary email server would probably still be unknown to the public and she would be president.
Brennan certainly did a lot of squirming during the interview.
The decision whether to prosecute or not is lodged in the DOJ not the FBI. Comey either misspoke or exceeded his authority.
Go Trey -at least he is forcing a conversation about the topics that the enemedia and the demonrats are trying to keep hidden with an information blackout.
He is doing his best to get it out there by asking the right questions. I love his southern accent - he reminds me of my son on law from Georgia who also is a lawyer.
It’s the FBI s job to turn it over to the DOJ for actions. Think motive the police who turn it over to DA for prosecution. (That’s why we need a strong FBI director ). Regardless congress has no power.
Don't blame Gowdy for the obstruction of others.

In your extreme bias, you overlook one point. At the time, there was no one that wanted the Speakership and Ryan had to be cajoled to take the job.
For certain, there was no one that would be acceptable to you that stepped forward or had a chance in hell to receive the votes to win
Note the request was sent to the DOJ and not the FBI.
What action would you like him to take? He is in an investigative role aS A LEGISLATOR, not a judicial one and not an administrative one. It is up to others to do something about what he discovers.
Where is Sessions?
