Cascade just showed up: absentees went 11,390 to 9,975 for Greg. Ravalli, the county south of Missoula, gave Greg a 2233 margin, 6,201 to 3,968. ‘Rat won the absentees in Gallatin Co. (Bozeman) by just over 4k, 18,119 to 14,108.
Greg is now down by 739 votes statewide with 176,178 counted.
If he wins can I gloat?!

If you’re only watching one county in Thursday’s special election for Montana’s lone U.S. House seat, it should be Lake County.
Because it’s early- 1/4 of 1% reporting and the numbers are showing it’s tied, which means just about nothing at this point, but it’s a great teaser headline.
Different websites have drastically different results. I’ve never liked that this happens.
Lake County (one of the state’s swing counties) is 54%-41% for Gianforte, though with just 6 out of 20 precincts in.
In 2016, Ginaforte narrowly lost it 47 to 49 percent to Dem Steve Bullock.
If ABC is watching one county, maybe they know something we don’t know.

I like the post on Nate Silver’s website - the first precinct in rural Carter County just reported in and Gian won it 47-2.
