So one of the four usual suspects (NYT, WaPo, ABC, CNN) contacted Amber Rudd and said: “Unnamed executive branch officials just leaked that the BBC is reporting it was a Muslim male suicide bomber — not a gas leak as intelligent people everywhere naturally assumed. You condemn them for telling us that, don’t you?”

Does Rudd honestly believe that anyone in the bombers orbit didn’t know who done it immediately or and that those physically involved needed to wait for news reports to go underground?

If these disclosures were unauthorized, the leaker(s) should face the consequences. But, if the information was to be held to deceive the public, those consequences should be a medal and parade.

My bet is that the Brits didn’t specifically request the information be held closely, and now are upset because the Trump administration does not actively downplay the muslim connection like Obama’s admin did.

I noticed that yesterday, when I was impressed the british were not publishing the name of the suicide bomber, but some (probably Obama-holdover) leaked the name here to Reuters.

i would love if they NEVER told us the name of suicide bombers. Just call them all “John Smith”. Don’t give them the satisfaction.

I think the UK is as much a festering abscess of potential terrorists as is Saudi Arabia, Afghanistan, Syria, Libya, Pakistan, Iran, you name it.

This guy was sitting for years in England as a known terrorist, ratted out by his parents no less, and the wimp UK MI 5 or MI 6 or whatever group of incompetents just sat there and watched him until he killed 20 people the other day.
