Begin by noticing how the President fired Comey when Comey was 3,000 miles away from his office, that Comey had no inkling he was being cut, that all his files, computers, and everything in his office were seized by his boss Sessions and the justice department. This was not a violation of protocol, it was tactical. Notice how Prez Trump compartmentalized the strike and did not inform any of his White House “staff” to prevent leaks. Notice how he emasculated Comey and the swamp denizens by letting them know in a tweet that the Attorney General got information (surveillance “tapes” from the seizure of Comey’s office) to let Comey and his handlers know that Trump’s DOJ has the goods on them. This was a brilliant, strategic and totally imperative move at exactly the right time against horrible, evil and corrupt powers infesting our government.

This is an excellent article. I have copied a little of it to go with what I have been posting since Trump took out Comey, on May 10, 2017..

James Comey is a poisonous snake of the highest order… a deep-water Swamp Denizen who has been highly paid to deliberately provide cover for high-level corruption by the Clintons and Obama. He is has been central to trying to destroy the Trump campaign and then the Trump administration from the start. He is as dirty as they come in DC. He had highest-level cover (the FBI no less) and was deep into an effort to eliminate Trump. Unfortunately, his SF output commenced at right around the time I was losing interest in SF as a subject for reading. Someone gave me a copy of The Mote in God's Eye when I was in college; I started it, but didn't have time to finish it.

I used to read his Chaos Manor column in Byte magazine, but I found him too self-referential for my taste. Still, he was interesting, and I couldn't resist reading the first few paragraphs of every column.

We can never be positive with anything in DC. Even with Trump as Potus there will be things destroyed, stolen, sold, etc... Too many people to fight against. Trump is doing a great job despite the circumstances. Imagine if they indicted Hillary or Obama. There would be millions of people demanding Trump’s impeachment. they are already throwing every made up allegation into the mix. They will soon be declaring that Trump kidnapped the Lindberg baby.

His Chaos Manor accounts of his computer travails were supposed to show the "human side" of working with computers. Instead, they often showed that Jerry had failed to RTFM. I read them anyway.

Jerry Pournelle is a National Treasure. He managed to humanize the dreaded learning curve at a time when those of us with far less understanding of logic and systems were also climbing what, to us, was a steep curve.

His fiction isn’t always to my taste, but it is well-structured and entertaining. I don’t ask for much more from popular science fiction.

For an elderly man battling pneumonia, he grasps the issues, understands the timeline and presents it all concisely. May he continue a long ndfruitful life. Readers are lucky to have had him.

I would highly recommend trying to finish reading The Mote in God's Eye. It is an excellent book, and has some interesting insights into human behavior.

I think of liberals like the brownies in the book. The brownies were always tinkering, and often would seem to improve the devices they were playing with. But they would never stop tinkering, and eventually would destroy everything they touched. Just like liberals.
