Liberal Journos Uncritically Echo Reports Global Warming Flooded The World ‘Doomsday’ Vault(DOH)

Several media outlets are reporting the world’s largest repository of seeds, acting as a “backstop” against global catastrophe, has been compromised by global warming.

Well, the news turned out to be little more than media hype. Here’s why.

The left-leaning Guardian was the first to report the Global Seed Vault located in the Svalbard archipelago was “breached after global warming produced extraordinary temperatures over the winter, sending meltwater gushing into the entrance tunnel.”

Vox and Wired echoed the Guardian’s reporting. Vox reported the Norwegian designers of the seed vault that was supposed to operate without human assistance for “eternity” had met its match from “floods linked to climate change.”

But the media should have done a little more footwork when reporting on the flooding. It turns out the vault regularly floods, as its designers anticipated.

The Guardian claimed “soaring temperatures in the Arctic at the end of the world’s hottest ever recorded year led to melting and heavy rain, when light snow should have been falling.” The paper quoted Norwegian officials who were scrambling to address the flooding.

“A lot of water went into the start of the tunnel and then it froze to ice, so it was like a glacier when you went in,” a Norwegian official told the Guardian, adding that no frozen water made it to where the seeds are stored.

The Guardian claimed the flooding “impregnable” vault’s 300-foot entrance tunnel due to melting permafrost “questioned the ability of the vault to survive as a lifeline for humanity if catastrophe strikes.”

There’s only one problem — the vault floods almost every year.

DOH! Maybe the intrepid reporters passed out from imbibing before the got all the info. Or, were to sub standard in the thought process to arrive at an actual true conclusion. And, if mankind/humans are extinct, who gives a crap about the seeds anyway? Or, if humans are reduced to such low numbers, who's gonna get to the vault and open it? Anybody know the combination?

Svalbard has the highest concentration of polar bears on the planet. The Norwegian government requires tourists to go there to have a high powered rifle, and show that they know how to use it.

My democrat friends, those who still talk to me, are absolutely and completely affirmed in their belief that not only will we be underwater soon, but that President Trump will be impeached and out of office by July or October at the latest. They think Pelosi becomes queen at that time.

And yes, of course I feed their delusions. It just makes for better and more satisfying schadenfreude.

Imo, the law and custom should be changed to “no second chances” for reporters.

Lie and you’re done. Misinform and you’re done. Twist to fit narrative or personal agenda and you’re done. No second chances. The entire company loses all perks, rights and privileges and all employees are blackballed from the industry for the remainder of their lives.

Journalist write stories centered on their emotions and thoughts.

A reporter writes a reporting of facts. They’re like scouts bringing back information to be accessed.

Angry lib hippy (approaching retirement) at my job was a Bernie supporter, shrugged when Hillary stole the nomination with the collusion between the DNC and CNN/MSM, and called Trump and Cruz the biggest liars in America.
