According to a study released Thursday by neuroscientist Dr. Tara Swart in association with the London Press Club, the highest functions of the human brain operate at a lower level in journalists than the average population. Her research titled Study Into The Mental Resilience of Journalists, blames journalists cognitive shortcomings on dehydration caused by excessive alcohol consumption along with poor diet, including higher levels of sugar and caffeine. Less than 5% of journalists drink enough or any water while 41% drank more than 18 alcoholic drinks per week.

Certainly explains the "reporting" coming out these days citing anonymous sources verified by anonymous sources and impeccably vetted by CNN!!!
Results indicated that, on average, the journalists who participated were no more physically stressed than the average person.

“No difference but we are going to report a difference and cause...........................” There must have been a rumor overheard from a mens room stall. So, that, to them, is a factual account. Or something.
Drug test all White House reporters.

Just look at how many Hollywood/entertainment types have addiction issues.
Many of them may be cut from the same cloth.
Journalism is to the English Department as pre-school day care is to the Education Department.
The people on camera are mostly presenters—the producers and field operatives in the background are the brains of the operation.
As a drunk, I resent being compared to journalists.
Maybe there’s a subset of Drunks Against Mad Mothers (DAMM) that includes Drunks Againt Dumb Journalists. (DADJ)
When I was in college (57’ to 62’ ) those that couldn’t make it in any other curriculum changed to journalism and got a degree. I suppose it was because everything about journalism was subjective—there was no right answer to be held accountable to. Show up for class, do your time and get a degree.e
