EXAMPLE
The most valuable gift you can give another is a good example.
"For I have given you an example, that you should do as I have done to you." (John: 13:15)
In his autobiography, Armand Hammer, known as much for his humanitarian efforts as for being chairman and CEO of Occidental Petroleum, an advisor to presidents from Roosevelt to Reagan, and an industrialist, reveals the roots of his giving spirit: "My father had become a prominent and greatly loved figure in the area. . .It was an almost ecstatic experience for me to ride with him when he was on his doctor's rounds. Patients greeted him at their doors with such a warmth that waves of pride and honor would surge in me to find myself the son of such a father, a man so obviously good, so obviously deserving of the affection he received. He could have, however, made himself many times richer if he had insisted on collecting all of his bills; or if he could have restrained himself from giving money away; but then he would not have been the man he was." "I have seen, in his office, drawers full of unpaid bills for which he refused to demand payment because he knew the difficult circumstances of the patients. And I heard innumerable stories from patients about leaving money behind to pay for the prescriptions he had written when he visited people who were too poor to eat, let alone pay the doctor." What a wonderful legacy to leave your child...the "business" of loving and giving to others.

Seeing God
May 21, 2017
The Lord is slow to anger, abounding in love and forgiving sin and rebellion. Yet he does not leave the guilty unpunished.
Numbers 14:18
Caricature artists set up their easels in public places and draw pictures of people who are willing to pay a modest price for a humorous image of themselves. Their drawings amuse us because they exaggerate one or more of our physical features in a way that is recognizable but funny.
Caricatures of God, on the other hand, are not funny. Exaggerating one of His attributes presents a distorted view that people easily dismiss. Like a caricature, a distorted view of God is not taken seriously. Those who see God portrayed only as an angry and demanding judge are easily lured away by someone who emphasizes mercy. Those who see God as a kindhearted grandfather will reject that image when they need justice. Those who see God as an intellectual idea rather than a living, loving being eventually find other ideas more appealing. Those who see God as a best friend often leave Him behind when they find human friends who are more to their liking.
God declares Himself to be merciful and gracious, but also just in punishing the guilty (Ex. 34:67).
As we put our faith into action, we need to avoid portraying God as having only our favorite attributes. We must worship all of God, not just what we like.
Father, Son, and Holy Spirit, I worship You. You are holy, just, kind, and loving. You are God alone.
Have you been trying to see the form of God through the fog of your life? If so, youre in good company. According to the apostle Paul, all of our present knowledge is seen through a glass darkly (1 Cor. 13:12 kjv). But since Jesus came, we dont have to strain so much to believe in the goodness, justice, and compassion of the God Moses described. Now, in Jesuss suffering and death, we can see far more clearly how God patiently loves us, allowing us to experience the consequences of sin while He Himself bears in our place the ultimate judgment that all sin deserves.

Good evening, ML...((HUGS))...a Blessed Lord’s Day and Shavua Tov to you and yours.
Did your rain ever go away? You could send some here and it would be most welcomed. We had just enough yesterday that I didn’t water the lawns today.
Penny still respecting that you are Alpha?

Penny has become so good that I barely hold the lead with my pinky, and she just trots along beside me.
When I say “Do You Want to go For a Ride in the Car?” she doesn’t even NEED the leash at all. She just prances out to the car and waits for me to open the door.
I’m the Alpha, and I like it!
We have had three absolutely beautiful (but hot) days in a row, and Penny and I have gone on several lovely hikes in the woods.
Stick to the trail though! Poison Ivy is in “bloom”.

Are the birdies coming back? Are you having nice weather?
And thanks...one day at a time. I have a caregiver in now, 7a to 7p and I take the night shift. It is an interesting “change”.

Yo radu!
Where ya been all week, sleeping? :-)
Our summer weather has arrived, into the 90's next week, a little too hot for May.
Son and I have been hanging quite a lot since his Mom and Sister are in Europe, mooching meals off of me, LOL!
Not much else happening this week, how are you doing?
Pixie's kittens growing?
How about the rest of the feline troublemakers?

Hey there, PRO!
Sleepin’? Nope. Been bored for the most part since there was no FR but there were still the kittehs to keep me hoppin’. LOL!
I hear ya on 90s being too hot for May. We had a few days around 90 this past week but it will cool back into the 70s for the next week. But hey, it’s a heck of a lot better than snow! Sounds like you’ve had a good week with your son spending a lot of time with ya.
Been a fairly quiet week here overall. Only one trip to the vet with Arabelle, who’d messed with her stitches and had some inflammation around her little spay incision. She’s fine now and the others are rowdy as ever. They’re reeaeeeally brats tonight since it’s raining and there are a few rumbles of thunder.
Pixie’s babies are growing like lil weeds! Getting playful now and I have a lot of fun with them. I got some pix this afternoon and will post them as soon as I get them into Fotki. They are SO cute with their eyes open.

Howdy, Kathy.
How’s your weekend gone so far? Did things finally calm down a little with your mom today? Hope so!
Were you able to find some petunias last weekend for her to tend to?
