Just wait until Medicare gets unloaded on to the States. This will be the standard everywhere.

Does anyone want to bet against the EXEMPT being
exempt from this, too?

I read the bill. Did not see that in the bill.

I guess this is one way to solve the social security funding problem. What have we as a society become?

I read the bill. Did not see that in the bill. It seems pretty clear from the article.
What is at issue here is that feeding by spoon has been reclassified from "basic and ordinary" care to "medical" care.
Basic and ordinary care is required for all patients. Medical care can be withheld if it is deemed to be medically futile.

I suppose sick infants could also come under this law because they are also fed by spoon.

A quick check found that there are no sponsors listed for the Oregon SB494 bill which legalizes the involuntary starvation euthanasia of various elderly people including those with Alzheimers.
Oregon is becoming a Nazi Socialist kakistocracy. Any legislator who votes for this bill should be considered as evil as a Nazi.
Here's the President of the Oregon Senate, a Demonicrat and the face of evil.

This sort of thing is inevitable in a socialist system and our medical system, while not yet technically socialist, emulates the results of such a system. At some point the doctors instructed by the bureaucrats will decide when you die if you don’t manage to get yourself killed in an accident or a (non medical) murder.

The article is bullshit. The OR legislation Hans NOTHING to so with assisted suicide.
That stated, the bill amounts to murder.

There is a new TV series out now called “Mary Kills People” all about this subject. It’s actually pretty good, so far.

What, exactly did you not see? The reclassification of feeding by spoon from basic and ordinary care to medical care?
