WASHINGTON — President Trump called the F.B.I. director, James B. Comey, weeks after he took office and asked him when federal authorities were going to put out word that Mr. Trump was not personally under investigation, according to two people briefed on the call. Mr. Comey told the president that if he wanted to know details about the bureau’s investigations, he should not contact him directly but instead follow the proper procedures and have the White House counsel send any inquiries to the Justice Department, according to those people. After explaining to Mr. Trump how communications with the F.B.I. should work, Mr. Comey believed he had effectively drawn the line after a series of encounters he had with the president and other White House officials that he felt jeopardized the F.B.I.’s independence.

WHY there was no "obstruction" :
After the Feb 14th meeting, it was another 7 weeks before the DoJ initiated a separate investigation into the Flynn RT payments (which may or may not have come under the purview of the FBI??not my pay grade) and which were first headlined Mar 16th. So, Pres Trump couldn't have 'obstructed' anything, because as of Feb 14th, according to WaPo, there was no ongoing FBI investigation into Flynn!
And neither Trump nor Comey would have known that the DoJ would open an investigation into Flynn until 7 weeks in the future.
Let's take a timeline walk: Jan 24th. WaPo - FBI clears Flynn of wrongdoing in talks with Russian Amb.
Feb 13th - Flynn resigns Feb 14th - Comey meeting with Pres Trump Feb 14th - CNN/NYT suggest Trump asked 'knockdown' of Flynn story
Feb 17th - Senate Select Committee on Intel meets with Comey. Some senators suggest Comey alluded there was new information.
Feb 24th - McCabe tells Reince that collusion accusations against Trump are "BS" (Feb 24th - possible time of Trump follow-on call to Comey re: Reince/McCabe convo - why can't you go public?) Feb 24th - CNN again headlines: FBI refused WH request to 'knock down' Russia stories
Mar 9th - CNN - tries to resurrect the server story
Mar 16th - CNN 'breaking' Flynn and RT
April 4 - DoJ initiates separate investigation into Flynn, money from RT
May 18th - Reuters - according to 'current and former officials', 18 undisclosed contacts between April and Nov '16 - no evidence of wrongdoing or collusion 'in communications reviewed so far,' 'according to four current officials' and contacts focused on mending US-Russia relations, fighting Isis in Syria and containing an agressive China.

I’d have felt a lot better if the anon source had said he overheard someone in the next stall in the boys room talking on their cell phone. Yeah, that’s realiable. As far as the special council to investigate, I don’t know muellers politics. Has he already been give the instructions on just where to look to find something? All I know for sure is I’m enjoying the big bucks I got from the Nigerian prince that waws OK’d by mueller when he was still with the fbi. ;-)
And then there the statements made UNDER OATH by Comey and McCabe regarding obstruction and attempts to interfere with investigation there they both said no such attempts occurred.
I think that the Big Boss can ask any questions he wants. Proper procedure is to answer the guy's questions.

The revelation about the existence of Comey's memoranda for the record has now resulted in calls for the release of all of them to Congress and now a Special Counsel. There is no there there.
I'm reading that Comey discussed the PROPOSED meeting with Trump with colleagues. Why would one do that? Doesn't even make sense.
If Trump told him to lay off....Comey didn't hear and obey. And it was weeks before he was fired.
If Comey says he was pressured, why didn't he report it to the committees IMMEDIATELY?
I think Comey is going to be caught in his own little trap.

Since when does the POTUS serve at the pleasure of the FBI director? PRESIDENT Trump should have fired that swamp creature during the phone call.
Everything told as though Comey is so great, but he sounds like the biggest crybaby on earth.
If he’s so great why does great public stink always surround everything he does.
If he has any ethics, why does he leak like a sieve? Why are all his “confidential top secret” investigations played out on tv and the newspapers?
Why couldn’t he take a much deserved firing with grace?

The pulse shooter wife was an accomplice to MASS MURDER. She was not arrested until around the inauguration, because she was proof of exactly what Trump was saying. Mass murdered gays and allowed to run free for months for political reasons.
His politics are not in America's best interests. Russian and England warned him about the Boston Bombers several times and he ignored the info. Do not trust him. Whomever is advising Trump, needs to be fired.
The FBI at its best. They are not even ashamed they are that corrupt.
