The unprecedented, global ransomware attack that started Friday has hit more than 200,000 companies, hospitals, government agencies and other organizations in 150 countries, the European Union's law enforcement agency said.
Separately, Europol Jan Op Gen Oorth said Sunday that the number of individuals who have fallen victim to the cyberextortion attack could be much higher than is currently known as more people may find they were hit by the virus when they return to work Monday and switch on their computers..
He said it was too early to say who is behind the onslaught and what their motivation was.
The attack is believed to be the biggest online extortion attack ever recorded, with victims including Britains hospital network and Germanys national railway.

Damn, dirty Russians.
Wait. The Russians ARE behind this aren't they?
Somebody ping Maxine Waters and Nanzi Pelosi and Chuck Schumer. They seem to have intimate knowledge about Russia's hacking prowess.

Perhaps the IC should have locked down that Vault 7 toolsuite a little harder.

The entire western world and a chunk of the Pacific Rim is now under the control of a fifteen-year old hormone-crazed kid named Ivan operating out of his parents’ basement in Moscow.

So I wonder what the fall out is going to be?
- I bet they trace the perps down.
- They might make bit coins illegal. Maybe they can't do it in all countries, but they could forbid the sell or purchase of them in major countries.
- For that matter, they should make stuff like western union traceable.
- Hopefully, government and microsoft won't be so cavalier about letting bugs remain in code.
- Spying might get more difficult.
- Everyone will be a little more vigilent about computer security.
- I'd like to see countries that allow internet scams from their land shot out of the internet. Bye bye Nigeria, Ghana, Russia. Not sure how you do that, but it should have been done along time ago. But I hope they wait until the FBI transfers those Nigerian oil funds to me. And my stunning white Ghana bride gets to Nashville to marry me.

I think it’s a false flag, myself. They’re gonna hang it all on the ‘alt-right online army’ so social media can shut them down.

So far. It is a windoz specific hack. Ah Microsoft, what hast thou wrought?
Another reason to keep your operating system source code under lock and key, rather than sell it to China ...

This type of cyberattack may have come from some nerd living in his parent’s basement who lives in his pajamas. This type of person could have well cracked into the Democrat’s email system and made it look like the hack came from the Soviet Union. It illustrates an important point. Those who know about computer shenanigans know that such witch hunts being perpetuated by enemies of President Trump are taking our nation on a wild goose chase. The cause of der Hildebeast’s election failure may be some pajama boy with nothing better to do. Oh! The irony of it all!

Yes, as is Windows 10, and all versions of Unix
To: HangnJudge
Could you please provide a link to the info that Win10 is immune? I thought it was all versions of Windows.

You got to identify them first. You can't just issue letters of margue for the unknown people who launched the cyber attack.
- You'll have people kiling Uncle Bob and Aunt Sadie just to collect the money.
- Islamists will be claiming it was the Christians that they chopped the heads off of and are that they are due the reward.
- Hillary will be falling down claiming it was Trump.
- Iran will blame the Jews.
- And NK's Chia Head Jr, will probably take credit, because that guy is nuts.
