It has, in the past few days, become abundantly clear that McCain has declared war against our President. He is creating roadblocks to every initiative that the President wants/needs to achieve.

I sincerely hope that the senile old bastard is about to learn just how different the authority is between a senior and powerful long-term Senator is from a sitting, duly elected, United States President.

ESAD McCain!

I said nothing like that just that he refused to stand up for the first amendment but attacked Trump for daring to have a rally in fascist territory.

Well, that’s why I didn’t vote for him in the primary. But it’s unrelated to the Obama care replacement, so he’s a good man to lead this fight. He’s been fighting against Obamacare from the beginning.

Right. Cruz is evil. Satan incarnate. He should lose his job, his family, and his salvation. To hell with Cruz, the illegal cruznadian. FR hates Cruz and his JFK-killing dad.

A working group? I hope that it maintains the pure essence and prevents earmarks. Committee would have killed it.
Still not a fan of rescuing Obamacare. Repeal every word, or leave it completely intact.

” Since he has been a thorn in the side of the Pub leadership, my thinking this is a way to get rid of him so the elites led by McConnell don’t have his opposition”

Bingo

Congress and the lobbyists who bribe them are a very big part of the problem.

Indeed, lobbyists must be in the game if their business can hope to survive, but the lawyers and judges run it all. Every new rule and regulation is to their benefit. The lawyer judge in HAwaii has now set immigration policy with a simple piece of paper.

“Whatever they do, they need to sunset Obamacare so the rats cannot use the 24 million people will lose coverage.”

I concur something like this is in order. Make the repeal effective 10/1/17.

So there would be time to get a replacement AND the Rats would have to play.

The anti-Cruz zealots serve Democrats, whether they know it or not.

This process bypasses the Senate Committees.>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>

No more delaying tactics from Schumer. The move is justified by Schumer’s conduct.

Your efforts to minimize the overwhelming impact of lobbying money, and to excuse it as necessary for survival, betray one of two things: a conflict of interest on the subject, or deep deep deep deep deep ignorance of just how completely the systematic bribery of “lobbying” has corrupted every facet of government.

Care to tell me which is your particular affliction here?

Neither. The most influential force on government is the federal workers union which accounts for millions of votes. It isn’t so much that money buys influence for any specific industry, but the votes that organizations like unions, welfare recipients and the like carry.

I know I have to be missing something because it looks to me like Trump and the Republicans would be better off letting Obamacare go on until it explodes to show Americans how gullible they really are.

You ought to actually go to DC and take a good look at what is happening there, in detail. I’m not speculating about this - I am testifying to what I witnessed in over a decade in DC living and working and being politically active in that environment.

The bribery is open, ubiquitous, and dominant. That is the problem. Nothing else can possibly get fixed until that does.

Don’t let Theo’s post in this thread fool you; he’s just not using sarcasm tags. Theo has been one of Ted Cruz’s biggest champions for ages...and has taken a HEAP of grief around here for it.

Theo ROCKS!
