A man handed a teller a note at the bank in the 6800 block of Old Dominion Drive at about 9:35 a.m. and left with an undisclosed amount of cash, according to a news release from the Fairfax County Police.
The man drove away in a silver Honda Civic going north on Route 123, police say.
Within about 10 minutes, officers found a Honda fitting the description provided by witnesses.
Police arrested Richard Chit Nyi Nyi Chitty, 34, of McLean. He was charged with robbery.
During the robbery, no weapon was seen. No injuries were reported to police.
With a name like that, my first thought was this thread will write itself. I see I got here too late and am already way behind that curve.
Wished they’d redone this movie instead of Mary Poppins, was ready to pay to see Dick Van Dyke until Streep opened her hole.
He looks a lot like a photo I saw of the late terrorist Zarqawi.
His friends just call him Dick.
While he has that “Dreamer” look in his eyes, online his name is mostly associated with Burma - so there’s a good change he’s one of the helpless “refugees” Americans are all supposed to welcome with open arms.
Either case, what’s a bank robbery or any crime now and then when you consider kumbaya values.

Fairfax County Fire investigators have charged Chit Nyi Chitty, 29, of 6900 block Old Dominion Drive, with the burning of an occupied dwelling in connection with a McLean house fire Tuesday.
Fire and Rescue Department arriving at approximately 12:55 p.m. at the single-family home located at 6941 Old Dominion Drive encountered heavy smoke coming from the second floor and attic. Crews contained the fire to one room on the second floor and the attic area and brought it under control in approximately five minutes.
Smoke alarms provided early warning for the occupants. Four adults have been displaced, with the Red Cross providing support to the family. There were no injuries.
Damage is estimated at $20,000.
Chitty, who was charged under Virginia Code, 18.2-77, a Class 3 felony, is being held at the Fairfax County Adult Detention Center
But did he have *intent*?
If not, I don’t see how he can be charged.

Well, in the case of the Boston slasher, two unarmed bank robberies resulted in a sentence of 364 days by the judge (to prevent deportation) & he got out to murder the two doctors in something like 9 months.
