I think nuclear power is too useful to scrap because 1 plant out of 450 or so in the world had a devastating meltdown recently.

Is that a deliberate mischaracterization of the problems?
How about looking at the massive cost to utility patrons for playing nursemaid to ailing off-line reactors?
In California, users are paying an average of $28.00 per month in their electric bills for upkeep of plants that cannot be used.
That is the understatement of the year.
