It’s barely an improvement, little more than “now you can carry on campus grounds, but not in any buildings” - which is still d@mn near useless. There may be allowances/exceptions, but short of clearly labelling every verboten entrance, nobody can be expected to know if any given door is permissible to carry thru.
It’s a “significant improvement” insofar as something is better than nothing; it still prohibits extensively and chills everywhere else on campus (does the mere presence of one faculty office in a building render the whole building off-limits? are janitors “faculty”? if a whole building is off limits, can I carry on the porch to get out of the rain for a few minutes? if I unexpectedly need to enter an off-limit area, is there a safe storage location provided or must I travel back to my car, fumble with a loaded gun in an exposed vehicle, and risk it being stolen from there? if dorms are off-limits, how can a resident student exercise his rights? if I make a simple & understandable mistake, do I risk jail time?).
Progress, yes, but more like slogging thru a field of combat with a long, long way to go.
How does campus carry work when you have a CHP from another state that is recognized in Georgia? The federal firearms act prohibits out of state ccw within 1000 feet of school property. As my colorado legs instructor said “ try driving through Albuquerque and not breaking that law”
It's really very easy to tweak the Left ... all you have to do is recognize our rights, stand up for American values and the Constitution, you know, act "normal".
Nearly all on the Left are already irrational, so irritating Leftists/Socialists/Democrats (pardon the redundancies) at every opportunity is a worthwhile objective.
It has so many prohibitions that you can basically walk on campus carryiing but can’t go in most buildings. Its a sham from Deal and his closet Democrat friends and handlers.
