Ivanka Trump to Head Review of U.S. Role in Paris Climate Change Agreement
breitbart.com ^ | 5/7/17 | Penny Starr

Ivanka Trump has been tapped by her father, President Donald Trump, to review the United States’ commitment to the Paris Climate Change agreement, signed by former President Barack Obama as an executive agreement in 2015 without congressional approval, the Associated Press is reporting.

The agreement requires countries to cut greenhouse emissions on a country-by-country basis, with Obama committing the U.S. to reduce carbon emissions by at least 26 percent below 2005 levels by 2025.

The U.S. is expected to have a representative at the United Nations’ climate change meeting in Bonn, Germany, next week but Trump’s advisers — including daughter Ivanka and Environmental Protection Agency Administrator Scott Pruitt — are meeting on Tuesday in Washington to decide whether to stick with or withdraw from the deal.

The establishment puke Congress critters won’t do anything about it. Hopefully JD will sue to have her and her hubby removed from their official WH advisory positions.

I hear she's pretty good at making and selling women's clothes.

I respect her obvious expertise at the solid sciences and
engineering study that goes into making and selling women's clothes.

>I have a bad feeling about this.

I don’t. She’s a public relations tool for Trump to reassure middle class white women who believe in dumb crap like global warming.

You should read the link at post #51 to see some of the risks to having her in this role.

It is a licensing deal.

Her name.
Someone else designs. Although, apparently they do allow her input.

Not surprising...the sun rises in the East...Ivanka and her pet hubby are liberals.

YET many here would have you believe she will carry out what her Dad wishes. Try telling that to McMaster who hired Waddell without permission from President Trump. Folks are dillusional if they think an executive is so down in the weeds of every little thing and controls everyone and everything around them. These folks have never worked in a corporate environment.

Others are making the excuse that she isn’t setting policy just listening. What is this a free tax payer trip to your the world, rub elbows? How about sending someone there QUALIFIED to represent the people and tell the accords to stuff it?

Sorry, I think this is bad, bad, bad. I think this is Trump’s “blind spot” where he thinks so highly of his daughter and cannot see that we, the people, do not share her views.

Now whether or not he takes her advice/side on this issue remains to be seen.

Notice that the rats usually raise **** over everything the president does, but not a peep here.
They haven’t shown any hesitation about broken laws in the past, but they don’t have a problem with Ivanka being appointed to this job as Captain Planet.

They are having a difficult time establishing just what Ivanka is doing there and what to give her to do in order to justify her presence. Even she said she wasn’t aware just what her responsibilities might be.

It seems you think there are no repercussions for Waddell.

If Prince and Princess really wanted Powell for that job...just watch and see what happens next.

“Candidate Trump promised his children would be running his businesses and not involved in his administration.”

It’s a well known fact President Trump’s sons are running his business.

“I’m trying to come to terms with the fact he was not telling the truth.”

Creating a lie in your head that doesn’t exist in reality is very unhealthy.

I hate to break it to you, but a family member taking a job away from someone else is not the definition of nepotism. Nepotism is the practice among those with power of favoring relatives, especially giving them jobs. Nepotism is favoritism, preferential treatment, bias and partiality. What President Trump is doing with regard to Jared and Ivanka is classic nepotism. It causes serious problems in any workplace other than family owned/run businesses.

Screamed? Yet the man is still employed. So what happens if they sign an agreement or come back and it’s still status quo? Will they too be screamed at? Chided? Dressed down publicly?
