A father and daughter have been found guilty of killing their neighbour after she burst a football they kicked over her fence.
Kelly Machin, 34, (pictured – above left) suffered broken ribs when she was pushed back onto a coffee table after being punched in the face by 48-year-old William Jelly in August last year.
A row broke out after Miss Machin burst a football that had been kicked into her garden by the children of Jelly’s 28-year-old daughter Natalie Bollen’s (pictured – above right) before throwing it back.
Bollen and her father went round to her house in Waldwick Close, Leicester, where a row ensued, resulting in Miss Machin falling onto the table.
She was treated at hospital and later discharged, but had suffered internal bleeding and was found dead on her sofa nearly two weeks later by a concerned friend.

How did they miss internal bleeding?? how did SHE not realize there was still something wrong after almost 2 weeks?

My guess is a ruptured spleen. She went home that night, lay down on the sofa and never woke up. They found the body two weeks later.
I am thinking she was long dead by the time she was found. Likely bled out and went unconscious within a day or two of returning from hosp.
Both of these people were would way too tight.
Lady should have just kept the ball, or just thrown it back. Puncturing it just angered the neighbors. But... any neighbor coming onto my property to assault me would be shot, punctured ball or not. I have thrown back errant balls landing in my yard, or allowed kids to come in and retrieve them but only with my permission. Yep, also glad the baddies were prosecuted, although the poor lady died.
When I broke 2 ribs they took xrays of course, but I would think internal bleeding would show up as a blotch on the picture??
I lived next door to this same kind of lady who also had a very young child. She would hussle her fat A$$ out the door and grab any toy going over the fence. She put glue and glass on her chain link fence, so we threw a cowhide over it to jump the fence to keep baseball games going, football games, etc. She would taunt us by holding up the toys for her kid.... needless to say her kid was neighborhood punching bag. He couldn’t even leave his year with his parents without kids and parents alike confronting them over the toys. We got our final revenge after about four years when she hauled out two large boxes of our toys and she taunted us. Someone put a bag of dog-do in a paperbag and lite it on fire on her concrete front porch - as she was stomping it out - we jumped the fence took back about $100 worth of 1968 priced toys.
Its a 28 year old “kid”.
I thought the article said it was the 28 year old’s children who were playing with the ball.
They have socialized medicine. Their newspapers are full of stories of adults, children and babies who did not receive adequate treatment and died as a result of indifference, poor skills or outright neglect.
Could it be possible that the violent neighbor or her brats had hassled this now-deceased neighbor many other times? The perp’s text to her friend called the now-dead woman “the neighbor from hell”, so it seems likely there were previous issues. Nevertheless, the perp’s kids were the careless trespassers and it should have been up to her to warn them not to bother an excitable neighbor.
Wait. England has cradle-to-grave welfare, socialized medicine and free education. Since people’s material needs are met the entire nation should be one joyous celebration of life. At least that’s what the libs promise here in the States.
Could it be that people actually have spiritual needs that a constant stream of free handouts actually degrade into worthlessness and hopelessness? Gosh. Whodathunk? So the socialists have been lying? I’m shocked.

Looks like it was bad health care and they should be sued for wrongful death. Except they don’t have the freedom to sue for bad health care in Europe.
