This editorial has been updated to make clear the Demon has been banned from regulated drag strips as-is from the factory upon delivery.Probably NHRA/IHRA regulations require certain safety devices when cars hit certain track times/speeds, which Dodge probably failed to incorporate into its factory drag car. My understanding is this is a sub-10-second car in factory trim. That automatically makes it subject to a whole lot of safety rules, number one being roll cage. It also requires NHRA/IHRA approved safety restraints. It comes with neither from the factory.
