FCC Commissioner Ajit Pai went on with Neil Cavuto on Thursday to discuss Stephen Colberts nasty, vulgar attacks on President Trump earlier this week.
Ajit Pai told Neil the FCC will investigate Colberts comments if they receive complaints.
He admitted that he had not yet seen the vulgar comments.
On Monday, Colbert, host of CBS The Late Show, used his opening monologue to take aim at Trump, implying the commander in chief had engaged in fellatio with Putin.

He admitted that he had not yet seen the vulgar comments? Where the hell has he been the past three days, in a coma?
This is a joke.
In a liberal coma - it happens all the time. No liberal sees anything wrong with anything if it’s one of their own.
He went on the show to talk about the comments and, yet, hadn't seen them? Good grief.
How much you want to bet that at least one complaint has been filed?
If Colbert or any other alleged comedian, had said the same things about Obama, he would have been yanked off the air by CBS immediately. We all know that. We know liberals know that. Liberals know that we know that they know that.
This reminds me of various double standards for liberals. Liberals are held to a different lower more lenient standard than the rest of us.
Then file one - or several.
That wasn’t a joke. That was hate speech.
I don’t care what anyone says over the airwaves. I don’t need Mommy Government protecting me from what people say. I can tune out or not tune in in the first place. Let the marketplace decide.
All you need to know................
Trump's complaint wasn't enough?
Colbert just a conundrum breath teenager who never drew up still think he’s in the school yard par for Hollywood critters.
Since colbert trashed Trump, no outrage. But when a circus clown put on a blackface, he was fired.
I suppose he means complaints from the “right” people on the left.
Except that it is useful to beat over the heads of the Left and we should hit them hard and often.
After all, they defined the term “PC” — politically correct and the list is growing daily.
liberals’ standard is simple. If a liberal says it or does anything at all it is good and unobjectionable. If someone other than a liberal who is not a protected species does it or says it it is a least offensive and probably criminal.
Then file complaints based on homophobia and hate speech.
Complaint filed.
For what it is worth, Colbert is probably sweating. Lets hope that his fear is real and lasts for weeks and months.
An investigation and sanction would be nice, too.
