In its latest survey, Zogby Analytics said that Hispanic support has hit 45 percent, two points higher than the president's generic approval.

That is 55 percent higher than the total Latino vote for Trump in the election. He won just 29 percent.

"The biggest surprise in this new poll is Trump's approval among Hispanic voters, which is at 45 percent approval/51 percent disapproval. In February the numbers were less among Hispanics at 39 percent approval/53 percent disapproval," said Zogby.

Hispanics, like whites, are a mixed bag; they come from various countries for various reasons, and trying to forge them into a voting block like blacks has proven futile. Some come here for free sh!t, and some come here to work hard for a better life - and the latter I suspect overwhelmingly support Trump.

As one astute FReeper pointed out (and I concur, from experience): I’ve never seen a Hispanic panhandler (and I live in a heavily Hispanic area). I’m more likely to be approached by a white panhandler than a Hispanic one; there is just something culturally unacceptable about that to them (and I AM lumping them together on that score).

What’s happening here is what happened to me personally under Reagan. We were a pretty strong democrat Hispanic-American family. After figuring out the media and the leftist DC establishment was lying about what President Reagan stood for was enough for me to question my loyalty to the democrat party.

I soon realized President Reagan stood for more of what I believed than the democrats. While I wasn’t old enough to vote the first time around for President Reagan, you bet I did for his second term.

The leftist DC establishment and the media’s lies about Donald Trump was far worse than what President Reagan went through. More Hispanic-Americans and I’m sure other Americans are figuring this out as well or at least we hope this is the case.

I’m such an elections geek that, when I read that, I thought that by “panhandlers” you meant residents of the Florida Panhandle (and had used a lower-case P by mistake). I was thinking “surely the Hispanic population in the Panhandle must be higher than 5%.” Then I read the rest of the thread and realized that by “panhandlers” you meant, umm, people who panhandle.
