Getting past the laughable absurdity of Maduro raising the minimum wage 60 percent in the face of 700 plus percent inflation projected to spiral into the thousands of percent, Pope Francis is in this story again talking about 'mediation' and 'dialogue' with a communist dictator.

Over the weekend I read that the Pope had called for a third party nation like Norway to 'mediate' with North Korea.

I try to stay away from the theological debates surrounding the current Pope, but he does seem to be developing a trend of 'lets talk to the Communists'.

Communists never negotiate in good faith and the words that come out of their mouths can never be trusted.

“Maduro has ordered a 60% increase in the country’s minimum wage”

The only positive in all this is it demonstrates to the world the end result when leftists get everything they want. Unfortunately some people will remain in denial no matter what happens.

Maduro hikes min wage 60%, left wants $15 min wage...

Mere coincidence? I think not.

Idiots. Big deal. You can raise it to a billion dollars an hour, but if no one can afford to pay it—big whoop. Commie window dressing...

Tell me again how beneficial Venezuela’s system would be if applied to the US, Bernie.

[Pope Francis had offered to mediate between the Maduro government and its opponents, but the opposition has rejected the overture. ]

That is extremely telling about Frankie.

It makes a person wonder if Maduro and Kim-Jong-in are somehow related as they seem to share similar traits of being mentally challenged? By now you would think that some of these want to be dictators may realize that in the long run and more often than not in the short run their dictatorial ideas and ideals just don’t pan out. But they seem to keep on trying anyway. We just got rid of one president along with his anointed successor who had been introducing and promoting similar ideas in a roundabout and under the radar way. Luckily enough people realized and recognized it for what it was and rejected it. But this is how dictatorships take hold, then all of a sudden people start scratching their heads and say “We could have, we should have, and why didn’t we?” History just has a nasty habit of repeating itself, until we humans learn. We have come a long, long way but that was just the beginning and the start of a long journey on our evolutionary path.

The pay rise is the third this year from Mr. Maduro, and aims to benefit government workers and the military.

Typical Leftist - buy off the government and military so they are willing to slaughter the People of the land....

Wow! The BBC sort of admits Venezuela is a dictatorship! Maybe they’ll soon recognize that socialism is a failure.
