one thing to remember hand gestures have different meanings depending on the area that the person is from. example in the united states if you are trying to hitch a ride taking your thumb and pointing it in the direction you want to go in would in the past get you a ride. the same gesture in some countries in the middle east means you want sex. that gesture being done by those two correspondence was one that 40 years ago would be done by kids in a setting and all it meant was look at me this is a okay... I think the media is just trying to remove conservative press from the briefing room because trump and his repersenitiive are more likely to take questions from theses reporters to then from CNN reporters or new York times reporters.
