..... the scale of diplomatic movement here against the backdrop of where President Trump picked up relationships from the prior administration has been accomplished in only THREE MONTHS... Every move is brilliant. Lavrov and Putin must be pleased as punch to be dealt testosterone-driven US policy ......as opposed to the flopola reset Hillary and deballed Obama foisted on them.

He said the same damn things Russia has been saying for the past five years, how's that constitute a "blink"?
People sure are bustin' a gut to try and pretend something important changed in Syria other than our increasing our boots not on the ground there to 8,000 or more guys instead of a dozen or so teams lurking around and picking targets we then don't bomb anyway.
Expanding the size of the Iraq/Afghanistan tar baby we're stuck to in "only three months", yeah, hip hip hooray.
Having one arm stuck around a tar baby and wrapping the other arm around it too isn't winning,. Afghanistan and Iraq are such obvious examples of failed approaches that someone calling our expanding the farce that we're accomplishing something by being there "winning" is absurd.
59 Tomahawks to hitting multiple important ISIS/Al-Qaeda sites at the same time would have changed things dramatically. Hitting few airbase revetments and obsolete planes that were in need of major repairs anyway was a waste of Tomahawks.

Russia has always been willing to cooperate with us against ISIS. It’s our insistence on getting rid of Assad that’s been the stumbling block.
Fake news.

Putin has stated a number of times that he wants to see Russia and the US cooperate in the destruction of the mooslim threat.

Hitting few airbase revetments and obsolete planes that were in need of major repairs anyway was a waste of Tomahawks. The point of the airbase strike was like a shot over the bow of another ship. He wanted everyone to know that he was serious, and could target things so precisely as to minimize any deaths.
In other words, they were put on notice that he could, and indeed would, target their backsides if necessary.
He made his point with a minimum of casualties. He doesn't want to kill people. He is doing this to stop the killing. It was a 'first move' and it was pretty successful, don't you think?

I see, Trump hitting something worthwhile wouldn't have shown he was serious, especially if the targets were actually animal scum like ISIS and Al-Qaeda.
Of course, it would have shown he knew when a false flag was being foisted on him by both the animals who were hit and their backers in the US like McCain but that's not the least bit important.
Sure, whatever you say.

This is good. I also want to see Russia join the U.S. in urging Turkey to think twice before screwing with the Kurds.
Hopefully we’ll put Erdogan back in his box.
