A HUGE US Navy super-carrier is gearing up for war off the coast of North Korea after Kim Jong-un's third test fire flop this month.
USS Carl Vinson aircraft carrier group arrived in waters near the Korean peninsula, where it will join the USS Michigan, a guided missile submarine that docked in South Korea on Tuesday.
The Nimitz-class U.S. Navy aircraft carrier USS Carl Vinson sailing towards the Korean coast this morning.

That, I did not know at all. I'm kinda blushing to admit that I only knew about the Constitution being on the rolls because it was a plot point in one of the episodes of the G.I. Joe cartoon in the Eighties. IIRC, the Constitution sank a full-sized Navy battleship whose captain had defected to Cobra.
Yeah you read that right. A sailing ship destroys a steel-hulled battleship.
YO JOE!!!

My Son is on the Nimitz, I believe that some time in June they are due to relieve the Vinson.

It is even worse (Or better) in the Royal Navy.
The only ship in their fleet that has sunk or even engaged an enemy is the HMS Victory which was laid down in 1759 and last fought an action in 1805 at the battle of Trafalgar. .

The HMS Conqueror torpedoed the General Belgrano in the Falklands war. But the Conqueror was de-comissioned in 1990, making your assertion that there is no active British ship that has engaged an enemy combatant correct.

So so ronery. I can picture it. His own people need to Mussolini-fy this head case.

I agree.
I believe the Chinese and Americans have figured out a game plan to remove this danger from the world stage.
I hate the think about the loss of US life in such a move but this regime must come to an end. Enough is enough.

Makes him think he deserves contraband Twinkies?

Time to drop millions of small Jack Daniels bottles and porno magazines onto north Korea. I think it was Savage who recommended this for Iraq. A good way to distract the troops.

I wonder if contraband Twinkies taste better because they’ were illegally gotten? :)
Dennis Rodman should tell him to fry them. They’re delicious that way.

Kim figures there are plenty of engineer and scientist costumes to go around. So he executes a few techies: He can just dress up some other guys to look the part. Who would notice?

Within striking distance? I'm an old Army guy who knows basically nothing about the Navy but I always thought that every one of our "latest model" (Los Angeles Class?) boomers could hit any target on earth regardless of where they were located.
I recall reading once...not that long ago...that if one of our boomers were to try to hit the pitcher's mound of Yankee Stadium from the other side of the planet its missiles are so accurate that it would land somewhere inside the Stadium.

I wonder what years and years of being told youre a G-d in isolation of your own country does to a fat leader. Well, for one thing it increases your chances of "gettin' lucky" on a Saturday night.

I find it to be pretty accurate based upon the date it was last updated.
