Dems adopt new tactic for gun confiscation

New York State Sen. Daniel Squadron, D-Manhattan, has a plan to snare conservatives into coughing up their gun rights.

Democrats have come up with a creative way of selectively confiscating guns from certain residents, and several Second Amendment watchdogs say the strategy could soon be coming to a state near you.

A state legislator from Manhattan has introduced a bill that would nullify gun rights from those convicted of hate crimes, even those involving nonviolent, misdemeanor offenses.

If successful, New York would become the seventh state to implement such a law.

The FBI defines a hate crime as a “criminal offense against a person or property motivated in whole or in part by an offender’s bias against a race, religion, disability, sexual orientation, ethnicity, gender, or gender identity.”

But, as Guns America News and Reviews reminds New Yorkers, the FBI makes it clear that “hate itself is not a crime” and that the agency is “mindful of protecting freedom of speech and other civil liberties.”

“Want to bet it wouldn’t affect these Antifa or BLM nitwits?”

Probably, this guy is another “descendant of slaves!”

They started purging them out 1 year before Obozo left office. I have a friend who was a full bird Colonel who was forced out because he was a Obama sycophant. We are closer to getting them out than you think.

So what. Assault weapons are legal in VA and that is a Federal Court in VA. Change is coming there too.

Hey look, you want to get into a pissing contest and I’m just stating fact that the court is located in VA and therefore the abomination occurred in VA.

True the decision affected a Maryland case, which I also stated. It can also be used for precedent elsewhere.

Direct your hostility somewhere else. There’s plenty of other crap to be pissed off about.

Obama has made that something you can’t take for granted, just as the police in some jurisdictions have become tools of the [violent criminal thugs]left.

There.
Fixed it.

“The left is attempting to criminalize everything they are against.”

You are so right. It is like the old Soviet Union.

“next move: Christian churches are hate groups”

By believing Christ is the only way to the Father will be a hate crime against all other religions in their view.

Yes and this administration has a whole slew of Federal judges that are going to be nominated to help fix this mess. The problem with most of you is that you expect things to happen too fast.

SCOTUS needs to deal with that other gun law fiasco that was just passed.
Which one?

You mean which ones? There were three of them passed. In California.

I'm not worried though. In California, the new normal is only to comply with laws that we individually approve of.

So no problem.

Maybe it’s CW 4 or 5. How so? The US had a civil war around 1776 and another in 1861. These wars were English fighting English. Prior to that there were other English civil wars. Seems to usually revolve around one class seeking to rule the other class. It got better with a quaint concept known as “the rule of law” or Lex Rex. Which was in place of the rule of man or The King or Rex Lex. We are now back to being ruled by the whims of a ruling class who wish to enforce their word as law ruling over the rest of us.

“What guns? I lost them all when my boat turned over and they all fell into the lake.”

Seems 20/30 percent of us here have had similar boating accidents? The answer to this crisis is to -— BUY bigger boats ??

“This is part of the ongoing effort to legislate from the bench and the shadow government.”

This is not to legislate from the bench, this is an attempt at trying to predict the future and get gun control. It is a step, not an answer.

The reason people who violate the law to the level of a felony, is because they are determined physically dangerous to the populous. As not all “hate crimes” are considered physically dangerous, then there is no need to change the law to fit the crystal ball. There are already laws in place to handle this situation. How can taking a gun from a guy/gal make it better when they may not even own a gun to use, just a spray can of paint?

We predicted this would happen more than a decade ago when "hate crime" legislation first appeared. It's part of the word definition game liberals love to play. Clinton didn't have inappropriate sexual relations because he redefined a word. The liberals are busy defining "hate crime" to mean anything that opposes their marxist agenda. They will keep pushing until there is blood on the soil watering the tree of liberty -- that prediction has already been made years ago too.

As I was explaining to the kids yesterday:
Sharing is something you OFFER, _voluntarily_.
Anyone who _demands_ you share with them is effectively stealing - say “no” unless you _want_ to share.

And yes, I’d say compulsory housing of ... well, anyone ... is a 3rd Amendment violation by proxy. Compelling you to house strangers isn’t functionally much different from compelling you to house soldiers, especially if they have an incentive to snitch on you.

Constitution? Meh! At least that’s been the attitude for a while now. Well, in the recent past anyway.
