Kevin Johnson, who succeeded Howard Schultz as CEO this month, on Thursday presided over an earnings call where the company cut its full-year profit target on the heels of disappointing second-quarter sales and stalling growth from its main business in the United States.
Shares in the company fell 4.9 percent to $58.30 after Starbucks also announced that it was reviewing its Teavana business after that chain's mall stores dragged down overall sales.

LOL!
Yeah.
And be sure to remind the Christians that they’re not welcome there.
maybe improve the coffee....
cut the attitude
I stopped going there about one year ago.
Their prices are ridiculous.
They don’t like conservatives.
I will leave my money elsewhere.
It’s bad coffee and overpriced.
Add in the leftist attitude of the company and I’m surprised they are still in business at all.
Teavana Chai Tea is Oprah’s. No lost there.
Agenda-driven baristas ALERT!
Never even been inside one. Was given a cup of mocha (or something) and dumped it on the ground. I don’t even want to TRY their product.
Dunkin’ Donuts and McDonald’s McCafe are eating their lunch.
Maybe people are wizing up to the fact the $5-7 for a cup of BAD coffee is just plain stupid.
They dont like conservatives.
Liberals hang out there all day because so many of them don’t work.
I never really cared for the place.
What? you dont like 35 dollar coffee cups and being surrounded by a group of pretentious, obnoxious pompous self righteous ####s :)
I stopped going three years ago.
Too much money, for not enough pleasure. Plus I can make a good cup at home and have a milk froth machine.
How are they going to grow when they show so much hatred and contempt towards most Americans?
“Perhaps they should hire more refugees......that really seems to be helping sales/s”
That and having some idiot “barrista” try to engage you in a “rap about race.”
When I think of discretionary spend:
1. Costco
2. Amazon
3. Restaurants
4. Travel
Pretty much it. No malls, supermarkets or even Home Depot.
Costco is owned by a hard core leftist.
And truth is that I just like plain coffee. I don’t care for all the fancy flavors and stuff.
Shove it Starbucks. See how much your snowflakes and hippie generation can keep you afloat.
Believe they also said they would no longer give forward guidance. NOT GOOD
