Rep. Louie Gohmert (R-TX) covered several topics with Breitbart News Radio SiriusXM host Alex Marlow on Tuesday, including the possibility of a government shutdown, the border wall, and how Trump has done in his first 100 days.
Regarding the later, said Gohmert, It goes back to the Animal House line, Well, you messed up. You trusted us, referring to Trump trusting in Congress.

>Well, you messed up. You trusted us, referring to Trump trusting in Congress.”
Yep. But it had to be done. You can’t condemn a group without having tried to work with them.
I don’t see where he trusted them. It’s not like he can order them to do things. He’s giving them rope.
Yeah Louie especially you and your gang in the Freedom Caucus who werwe talking a good game while doing the bidding of Trump haters like Club For Growth Koch brothers and Warren Buffet.
Strange that a man that read “The Snake” so many times immediately ran with Ryancare and continues to be cucked by Ryan.
Ya gotta hand it to Trump, he ALWAYS gives people a chance. They get ONE, but he always grants it. Shame on you if you cross him.
It does appear that Congress is the problem. 535 self-interested fat house cats.
?????
Newsflash Lou: Trump can only sign bills/laws that congress, both House and Senate, pass.
Furthermore Obama got an Obamacare because he worked on it and worked on a Democrat congress for many months to get it through.
You may have missed this Lou:
President-elect Donald Trump revealed in an interview with The Washington Post that hes almost finished with a plan to replace ObamaCare and vowed to have Were going to have insurance for everybody. There was a philosophy in some circles that if you cant pay for it, you dont get it. Thats not going to happen with us..
Yeah, pretty fair.
Of course, though, he needs their cooperation. So the sooner they showed their crookedness the better.
I did expect the RINOs to be a *little* more accomodating. Just a little.
He’s not at all vindictive; he views even enemies as assets to be used and hopefully converted to allies later.
Tomorrow’s Senate SCIF briefing is him saying ‘Fine, disrespect the Presidency, make my job harder, and find yourself totally cut off and out of the loop on everything.’
His patience amazes me. Grandfatherly.
Trump has exposed the establishment GOP. You can also say they allowed themselves to be exposed but if it wasnt for Trump we would have never known about goofy Paul Ryan and the decades of globalist Romeny family losership.
Paul Ryan has a Republican in the White House... Why isnt he passing all of his dream plans?
-PJ
The only reason that Trump supported it was because it was supposedly the first step in 3 step program to gut ObamaCare. If the other two steps never happen, RyanCare is very bad and we would never be rid of it
It would have killed Republicans and been an albatros aroung GOP necks
The Freedom Caucus did the country a service by blocking it
Fact is America is not politically ready to repeal ObamaCare because it has artificially and fraudulently propped up by Obama and the media to shield the public from the reality of how badly it is failing
Americans need to live with an ObamCare in melt down before they realize how bad it is
Were going to have insurance for everybody. There was a philosophy in some circles that if you cant pay for it, you dont get it. Thats not going to happen with us..
Trump insists health care replacement will have ‘insurance for everybody’ (Fox News January 16, 2017 )
Well ok then.
I look forward to Trump leading the effort to get a constitution amendment passed giving the federal government the LEGAL authority to have control over healthcare.
Just like what happened with alcohol, and thus started prohibition.
1. There was a discussion on the practical pragmatic issue around federal control of “alcohol.”
2. There was an agreement that the Federal government should have legal authority and control over “alcohol.”
3. There was an amendment passed giving the Federal government legal authority and control over “alcohol.”
So, in the 3 steps above, replace “alcohol” with “healthcare.”
If there is no amendment, and yet the federal seizes authority over “healthcare,” then it is ILLEGAL and therefore TYRANNY.
(And yes, that is what we have right now!)
I’m pretty sure by the end of the second 100 days the GOP obstructionists will have competent, hand-picked opponents filing to run and primary their asses.
Cherish, therefore, the spirit of our people, and keep alive their attention. If once they become inattentive to the public affairs, you and I, and Congress and Assemblies, judges and governors, shall all become wolves. It seems to be the law of our general nature. - Thomas Jefferson (Letter to Edward Carrington January 16, 1787)
Drain the swamp! Drain the swamp!
Remember in November 18 !
Since Trump entered the 16 presidential race too late for patriots to make sure that there were state sovereignty-respecting candidates on the primary ballots, patriots need make sure that such candidates are on the 18 primary ballots so that they can be elected to support Trump in draining the unconstitutionally big federal government swamp.
Such a Congress will also be able to finish draining the swamp with respect to getting the remaining state sovereignty-ignoring, activist Supreme Court justices off of the bench.
In fact, if Justice Gorsuch turns out to be a liberal Trojan Horse then we will need 67 patriot senators to remove a House-impeached Gorsuch from office.
Noting that the primaries start in Iowa and New Hampshire in February 18, patriots need to challenge candidates for federal office in the following way.
While I Googled the primary information above concerning Iowa and New Hampshire, FReeper iowamark brought to my attention that the February primaries for these states apply only to presidential election years. And after doing some more scratching, since primary dates for most states for 2018 elections probably havent been uploaded at this time (March 14, 2017), FReepers will need to find out primary dates from sources and / or websites in their own states.
Patriots need to qualify candidates by asking them why the Founding States made the Constitutions Section 8 of Article I; to limit (cripple) the federal governments powers.
Patriots also need to find candidates that are knowledgeable of the Supreme Court's clarifications of the federal governments limited powers listed below.
Congress is not empowered to tax for those purposes which are within the exclusive province of the States. Justice John Marshall, Gibbons v. Ogden, 1824.
State inspection laws, health laws, and laws for regulating the internal commerce of a State, and those which respect turnpike roads, ferries, &c. are not within the power granted to Congress [emphasis added]. Gibbons v. Ogden, 1824.
From the accepted doctrine that the United States is a government of delegated powers, it follows that those not expressly granted, or reasonably to be implied from such as are conferred, are reserved to the states, or to the people. To forestall any suggestion to the contrary, the Tenth Amendment was adopted. The same proposition, otherwise stated, is that powers not granted are prohibited [emphasis added]. United States v. Butler, 1936.
Wrong example, as I’ve shown you now on six occasions.
Embargo Act
Social Security
Slavery
Sherman Silver Purchase Act
Medicare/Medicaid
Except slavery, none was put in place or taken away with a Constitutional Amendment.
