MANILA, Philippines – Philippine President Rodrigo Duterte warned Sunday that he could be "50 times" more brutal than Muslim militants who stage beheadings and said he could even "eat" the extremists if they're captured alive by troops.
Duterte has repeatedly threatened drug suspects with death, but he raised his shock rhetoric to a new level as president when he said in a speech during the opening of a national sports tournament what he could do to terrorists who have staged beheadings and other gruesome attacks.
Duterte ordered troops to kill fleeing Muslim militants behind a foiled attack in the central resort province of Bohol and not bring them to him alive, calling the extremists "animals."

When they are nothing but 7th century savages, you have to go 6th century on them to stop them.....
You either fight a war to win, or go home. If you go home, you lose.
What is the fate of those that lose to Muslims. Will they simply take over and allow the conquered to go on with their lives?
We already know the answer. Look what ISIS has done to other Muslim, do you think they will be any kinder to infidels?
The answer again is clear, no, they will either convert, or kill everyone except those that they will enslave.
Muslims are not fighting a war of freedom.
Muslims are fighting a war to conquer all non-muslims.
Duterte’s rhetoric may be harsh to our ears, we who believe you can fight a war with rules and without killing innocent civilians. But our way of fighting wars means we will never win, we will just spend years wasting money and blood.
To win a war you need to break the will of the enemy. In that regard it would appear they have already won in Europe.
I think the Philippines may have a better approach.
Americans will one day soon have to make a choice.
Fight the muslims with restraint, and eventually lose.
Or go full WWII on them.
A right these same Muslim revolutionaries will not extend to anybody else if they are bent on conquest. Muslims could end their conflict with rest of the world overnight if they would give up the prime directive inscribed in the Koran, to convert, subjugate or kill the rest of the world if they do not convert or submit to Islam.
Islam is not the highest and best end goal to be aspired to by mankind.
I don’t particularly like Duterte, but the ascendancy of him or someone like him is inevitable among non-suicidal peoples once things get bad enough.

BOTH nations are anxious for this event to be more than productive.
That said, there was a big planned raid by Abu big shots on tourist areas outside of Mindanao, i.e. in areas where there are few Muslims. The aim was to get lots of ransom money, and since they recently beheaded a Canadian you know they meant to kill the innocent tourists if they did not get money.
But locals reported them, and they lost the battle including some big shots.
What is it that Duterte said that is bad?
I talk to the people on the streets of Davao. My wife and her whole family voted for DU30. Of the ones I talk to, there is little love for Abu Sayaf. They have no time for muzzies. I see them here all the time, but they are vastly outnumbered, and don’t cause any problems in Davao City.
You cannot win with evil by embracing it. Summary executions would be enough.
I think Duterte is great.
There may come a time when the "Canaanite Option" is the only thing that would work.

Perhaps the reason is because they are outnumbered and there is a government that is willing to go all berserk on them if they do.
Muslims are nothing if not patient.
Duterte is correct. Dealing with terrorist, aka mass murderers, is not a game. Either they are to be killed in mass, or the problems will grow.
Just threatened to bury the the dead terrorists with a pig. “Forget your virgins and sleep with a pig” should be his new motto.
