Erin Moran who famously played Joanie Cunningham on "Happy Days" and its spinoff "Joanie Loves Chachi" has died ... TMZ has learned.
We're told authorities in Indiana got a call just after 4 PM ET Saturday from someone reporting an "unresponsive female." EMT's arrived and found Erin Moran's body ... she was already dead.
Moran shot to spotlight in the early 70s when she was cast on "Happy Days" as Joanie, the younger sister of Ron Howard's character. She continued the role in 1982 alongside Scott Baio in "Joanie Loves Chachi" but the show only lasted one season.

White+under 60+trailer park = drug overdose.
Heroin is voluntarily consumed so overdoses are self-induced. The folks in Syria were not willingly doused in chemicals.
Adrienne Barbeau could have been her big sister. At least her big sister with a boob job.
No..they said she died from heroin.

Hard to tell with the hot ones...
She was very pretty and was in a lot of enjoyable movies and tv programs.
“She was very pretty and was in a lot of enjoyable movies and tv programs.”
Yes, she was. I always thought she was a good actress who got “boobcast” to the detriment of her career.
And as for Erin Moran, I’m a few weeks older than her, and I always had a crush on her. She got shafted by Hollywood, too.
.....”No..they said she died from heroin”....
At her age, and so many years of abuse, the drug no doubt hijacked her brain and body.....use it enough and your body will shut down of it’s natural highs of pleasure as it determines it’s no longer needed. Thus she could not function without it...and increased dosages just to function.
Wasn’t Erin Moran a daughter-in-law, or something like that, in the 90s “Newhart” show?

Not that I could find on IMDB.COM:

Not really self righteous, as much as tired of watching the short unhappy lives of the once famous. I am not claiming superiority. I am claiming fatigue.
I have watched self destruction all my life. And I break it down to whether or not the person doing it has the will to stop it. And if you believe that they do, at least at some time in their life, then you believe that they let it happen. Maybe not knowing or not believing that it would become irreversible at some point. But I guarantee you that at some point there was a friend, probably many, who fought hard to convince her to care and to change her ways. But she never did.
Huh. Oh, I remember now. It was Julia Duffy.
Too bad Ontkean won’t be in it, that was a great buddy cop pairing.
I heard Joan Chen (on account of her character being dead, spoiler alert, I never finished season 2) and Piper Laurie (who wants to be in it) won’t be in it either.
Chen’s character also seemed to be taken over by “Bob”, at least it looked that way when she committed suicide after murdering her ex. Her soul then seemed to be sucked into that nightstand table knob. Creepy as hell. Never followed up, either.
I didn’t know Piper Laurie wasn’t in the new season, though her character would now be widowed since the actor that played her husband, Jack Nance, died not long after the series ended. We’ll find out if they killed her off.
Of course, it appears that some of the dead characters will reappear (notably Ray Wise), but in what capacity, I don’t know. They never did explain in the film sequel how Agent Cooper got out of the Black Lodge, leaving it in the 2nd season finale that he was newly possessed by Bob. Alas, the actor (who wasn’t really an actor) who played Bob also died not long after the show ended (AIDS).
