...(or third, if you count his short-lived singing career, in which he tried psychedelic pop and covered “Delta Dawn”)...I wouldn't call it psychedelic pop, more like middle of the road (MOR). It made the Top 40 in 1968. He wrote, produced, and sang with Bubba Fowler.
