Buy 10 miles of the land south of the existing border from Mexico then, and build the wall there.

CA and NM is understandable, Democrats want to keep importing voters.
AZ and TX is less understandable.
McCain and Flake have both long been opponents of border security and advocates of amnesty.
Cornyn likewise.
Ted Cruz has sometimes talked like he was on the side of the citizens and the rule of law.

????????????????????????

Why doesn’t the WSJ tell us the names and give us quotations from everyone they talked with?

“Ted Cruz seems to be against the wall. His campaign promise was a lie.”

He’s on thin enough ice as it is with most Texas conservatives. He better find his footing REALLY QUICK on this if he likes staying in the Senate.

In the meantime, President Trump can hire and order more.. many many more.. border guards who will stop the flow from the south.. (the other countries south of Mexico, are as big a threat... terrorists know the route.) Keep an eye on the sympathizer hires who would let any cross over.

The wall was promised... but would they dig under and still climb over? The reason the walls in China and Germany works/worked, is there were guns pointed at them if they crossed. Many were killed trying to climb over the wall in Germany... they knew it was death if they were seen.

Border Lawmakers Balk at Donald Trump’s Wall Request

Must be making a fortune off the bodies required to man the border. Best representation money can buy and it shows.

I don’t know which is more damnable: Congressional greed, or Congressional cowardice?”

BOTH!

The money and the authority were already appropriated in the early 2000’s under Bush II.

Ted Cruz seems to be against the wall...

Source?

Cruz said he believes Congress "should use the power of the purse, use appropriation, to implement good policy."

Border “lawmakers” against a wall must be compromised by too many criminalian constituents - exactly the situation that would be fixed by a wall.

Threaten to put the border on the northern border of each of those states and let the voters of the states handle the rest.

It’s about time we have a detailed cost analysis of what these sanctuary cities policies are costing.

While education of illegals cost overruns in most school districts are the most frequently quoted. The hidden expenses and effects of what these sanctuary policies are costing US gets buried.. They’re resulting in budget shortfalls on everything from road repair (gas tax diversion) to healthcare. Plus essential services including garbage pickup.

When the reciprocal question of the rights and benefits given to illegals but the same would never be granted (including voting) to a citizen of the United States in those countries where these illegals originate from. It gets obfuscated by the media which should be trashed along with the politician uttering charges of “nativist” or racist. Because such arguments are for the lowering and certainly not defending of the value of American citizenship.
