The letters were sent to officials in Chicago, New Orleans, Philadelphia, Las Vegas, Miami, Milwaukee, New York City and Sacramento, Calif., as well as Cook County, Ill. These municipalities were identified in a Justice Department inspector generals report last year as potentially out of compliance with the requirements.
Fridays letter asks the cities to send documentation that they are in compliance by the end of June.

I agree and put the money towards the wall. Twofer.
[Only 8?]
I’m surprised ST. LOUIS isn’t on the list.
AND arrest the Mayors of those cities. Most people don’t like jail time. Ergo, arrest and sentence violators to 10 years in federal prison. This sanctuary crap would stop in a heartbeat.
Agree, I think some jail time would insure future compliance with the LAW.
Why isnt SF on the list? Get it done!
“Bigger gets: San Fran and LA”
Yes, but as Lyndon Johnson said, “he has their peckers in his pocket, and they’re going to be following his directives!” (Meaning President Trump’s) I mean who knew that a Republican would be following any advise given by a RAT President?
That’s a good point, FRiend wiggen. Rather analogous to deporting a few thousand of the worst illegals, in the expectation that many more will get the message and self-deport. I would hope we’re starting to experience some of this already.
“Ergo, arrest and sentence violators to 10 years in federal prison. “
I hope and pray that Jerry Brown and his clown legislature does pass “sanctuary state legislation,” because I’d truly love to see that worthless bastard spend the rest of his days in the slammer along with his “Beaner” Assembly Speaker.
This is good. But there are more.
We win here or we lose everywhere.
I am not yet tired or winning. I am getting addicted and need to be fed more wins to satiate my Jones. I have a visceral hatred of the city councils, mayors, and chiefs in LA and SF where they ignore their citizens being murdered. If I had my way they would all be in prison for being complicit for murder. Now one of them is our newest senator and another will be our next governor. Both from San Fran.
I’m guessing the strategy here is to proceed in a deliberate, methodical manner against this initial group of cities. Once they resist (and they will), cut off their funds, threaten criminal prosecutions, then let them take you to court. Once the Trump administration prevails in court, turn to the mayors of the other sanctuary cities and ask: “who’s next?”
Which cities? Austin? Seattle?
The wheels of Justice grind slowly.
(Who said that?)
Where’s Seattle?
The list left out many. I think he had to start somewhere and picked those cities for a reason. You know the left will find a judge to say Trump admin has to pay illegals this cash.
Rien, comme d’abitude. (Nothing, as usual)
Add Austin, TX.
Don’t just threaten. Actually pull those dollars. Immediately.
