The White House said Thursday that it wants to see money for President Trumps border wall included in the spending bill Congress must pass next week a demand Democrats said sours negotiations and makes a government shutdown more likely.
The demands mark a reversal for the administration, which had been saying it found enough money to build prototypes this year and wouldnt need a major infusion of cash until next year.

It sounds good. But it won’t sound good when the rinos and democrats refuse.
He should be running ads showing all the current senators who voted for the wall already and who voted for Reagan’s “wall”.
The House is a part of the deep swamp and tough to drain.
Good for him. But he should tell the Democrats and some of the squishy GOPe sell-outs that if they don’t appropriate the money, he will build the wall with money he takes from all sanctuary cities, states and universities. He should not be deterred from this very important campaign promise.
And why hasn't a bigger deal been made of that?
Trump should tell his buddy, Paul Ryan to allocate funds for the security of the United States, aka, the Wall. A 10” thick concrete wall standing 30’ tall.
i’d trust Trump’s judgment on the mood of the Country if I were them....
I would not only include border walls but comprehensive welfare reform, (we'll need to fill those open positions that Americans should be doing for a better wage than $1.50 an hour) More Tax cuts for the wealthy especially on capital gains, controls against public service unions and abolish the EPA and IRS.
Just for starters...
If the government shuts down, all Congressional paychecks should be suspended for a year....
Good for Pres Trump
As soon as the president of Mexico sends the US Treasury the check they will include it, a key Trump promise.
I don’t see Trump vetoing a budget
I believe the bottom line is money fro personnel and a portion of the wall.
Rome was not built in a day.
My question...where is the money from the last time congress approved the wall?
A valid question. Obviously, it got wasted, frauded or abused on something else, but Lyin’ Paul Ryan should be forced to answer the question, nonetheless.
Good! Call their bluff on a “shutdown”.
The wall has to happen - even though we are hearing that the number of illegals trying to cross is coming down.
Without the wall - if the dems get back in power - within a month the huge numbers of illegals flooding in will be right back to where the dems want it. The dems need an endless supply of future dem voters crossing in illegally since they are aborting their own future voters in large numbers and/or not having families or having just one or two children to “save the planet”.
Also - the drugs coming in across the border have to stop and only the wall will suffice. I hear mutterings in TVland of “maybe we don’t need the wall after all” and this line of thinking must be shut down for the reasons aforementioned.
Trump is smart to force a vote on the issue, knowing that 80% of Americans support the wall. Get the Dems and the RINOs on record as to who opposes the wall. Ammo for the 2018 midterms.
Folks...Paul Ryan is with the Democrat scum & vermin!!! The House Republicans must broom this ego driven, Trump hating, nutcase, Paul Ryan, like today!!! Broom him....Pubbies!!! Jeb Hensarling for House Speaker!!!
As for the Democrats, they have no say...just pissed away fourteen millions bucks on the losing Obama “Pajama Boy” Jon Ossoff!!! They are destroying themselves...so let them be!!!
AND...No summer recess for Congress, seven day work weeks until they get the people’s business done!!!
I love it.
Today’s messaging:
1. Wall
2. Deprortations
3. Muscular foreign policy (but NOT interventionist!)
4. About to repeal O-Care as early as next week
5. Got SCOTUS ready (Gorsuch) to stuff the 9th Circuit.
6. U.S. Steel industry.
7. Soon-corporate taxes
Winning!!
