A simple, “No” should suffice.
Stand behind your words or don’t say them in the first place.

If his ‘constituents’ are so upset they can vote him out of office or vote for recall if that is an alternative.
That’s the way I would go but you say crap like that and you’re like a lamb mewing on the serengeti. The vulturous left will descend upon you after the lions and hyenas have had their fill.
I understand but a nation of people either follows the law or it chases every errant charge and condemnatory claim in the media into an effort to bully a result instead. Indeed, on that they probably couldn’t obtain legally.
For Republicans loathe to being seemed guilty, the hyenas walk all over them. For Democrats, look at Bill Clinton and that wife of his. Guilty as sin six times over, but they stood there defiantly and “prove it.” And Obama said “I’m doing it. Try and stop it.”

One standard. This “it’s OK for X people to say it, but not for Y people to say it” is a vicious mind trick.
I don’t use the word. There’s credible evidence that it hurts some people’s feelings, and I was brought up not to do that unnecessarily. However, were I ever a crime victim like Paula Deen, I might say it in the heat of the moment, and I would be perfectly justified to do so.

Ya’ know, I’m pretty conservation and I don’t use those words in private conversations when I’m talking with Blacks or Females.
And I damn well make sure I watch my language when talking with members of the political opposition.
The dude was incredibly stupid and should resign.

What does “a variant of the n-word” mean? Did he use the “n-word” or not? Are the thought police now after people because they said something “almost like” a slur?
