wasn’t he acquitted of the double murder charge? I am confused.
Yes but he was also convicted of another murder before that trial and was doing hard time.
Hernandez will remain in jail for life for his involvement in the 2013 killing of Odin Lloyd. He was convicted of that murder in 2015 after a nine-week trial. Members of that jury found that Hernandez used "extreme atrocity or cruelty" in the killing.
Yes, but maybe the weight of his sins became too much for him. That's what the Accuser wants us to think - we've sinned so much there is no way out.
If only he knew of the forgiveness of Jesus - there are no sins too great that cannot be washed by Him - of course we still face the consequences, but they are not eternal.
Now they are.
1. Hernandez kills Person A some time ago but isn't identified as the culprit at the time.
2. Hernandez kills Person B a few years later because Person B was a witness to the murder of Person A.
3. Hernandez is arrested for the murder of Person B. During the course of this investigation the police figure out that he also killed Person A.
4. He goes on trial for the murder of Person B. He's convicted and sentenced to a mandatory life sentence without parole.
5. In March 2017 he goes on trial for the murder of Person A. He's acquitted of this murder.
The thing that must have gotten him is that the first murder was probably committed to silence a witness to the ones he was just found innocent of.
Most guys who “hang themselves” in prison don’t actually hang themselves.
Just my opinion.
