April 18 (UPI) -- ...According to the Yonhap news service the hit-to-kill missile system will undergo final evaluation next month to determine it's suitability for production and deployment...The indigenously developed M-SAM is a key element of the country's Korea Air and Missile Defense system. It has the capability to destroy incoming ballistic missiles at an altitude of about 12.4 miles. The missile was developed by South Korea's Agency for Defense Development and LIG Nex1...

Can’t they just download the “fatboy missile zapper” app. from the NSA?

Final stages...

All they have left to do now, is get it to intercept and destroy the incoming missile.

You three will notice that in the article behind the link, PAC-2, PAC-3 and THAAD are also mentioned.

And to any Korean readers here who served in the ROK military, remember the good that your training did for your minds and bodies! Show us the courage of your forefathers and ours! Teach your young people. Exercise! Get physically fit again! Show us what you can do!

Sheh. Porro!

What is it made by Samsung?

Over the years, I’ve ordered and mounted several sets of Korean tires (Hankook) on my four-wheel-drive vehicle by hand, with nothing more than a couple of large, flathead screwdrivers and a hand pump for air. All were perfectly balanced on the aluminum wheels. None needed balancing.

Those tires withstood highway driving with heavier-than-usual loads for amazing numbers of miles and provided amazing traction up and down icy high mountain passes year after year. Many times, they passed much more expensive tires on much more expensive vehicles going down passes with switchbacks. It was much better than making appointments with tire shops that were 60-100 miles away.

South Korean engineering and manufacturing quality are outstanding. Those M-SAMs will probably get perfect scores.

That’s news to me, in that I thought all tires had to be balanced.

I’m glad that worked out for you. It’s always very pleasing when tires and other things on your car wind up lasting or at least functioning at top performance.

My vehicle is now 11 years old. I had the brakes serviced for the first time last year at just over 45,000 miles. Not bad.

My Bridgestone tires are wider than normal, and gave me a much better and more stable ride. I’m at 46,307 miles as it sits right now. I can probably get another 7,500 miles with no problem but I’ll probably replace them around 50,000 miles.

My vehicle is a Ford Mariner Hybrid. I know folks have knocked the Hybrid idea, saying you never really save as much money as the initial excess outlay was. What I will say, is this car has been the most enjoyable one I’ve ever owned.

That works for me.

I’m glad you had a good experience with your ride. Excellent!

If the missile is only 12 miles up then it is under the control of newton. Would hitting it with a conventional warhead destroy the nuke itself? That thing is coming down either way.we

The defensive missiles hit incoming offensive missiles kinetically instead of exploding. The incoming warheads won’t detonate after that.
