He’s upset that voters tried to change DC.

The government is supposed to work for the people. And the founders provided a number of ways to enable that. He may want to have the Constitution read to him before continuing to oppose voters. Make sure he gets past the 1st amendment but he can stop listening after the 2nd if it bores him too much.

Syria and North Korea can always use new advisers (they keep dying for some reason) if he decides that he prefers only the government and not the people have a say. Otherwise he should succumb to the wishes of the voters.

Establishment already is winning. He is surrounded by the eco chamber now and only gets his intel from the deep state. Syria and Healthcare show the direction he is going. "McNuts" is winning.

When you decide conservatives are the problem the only people left are the establishment dems and rinos. Congrats.

McCain thinks that Trump is becoming a status quo politician....

McCain was over-the-top ecstatic when President Trump, believing intel, blamed Assad for the use of chemical weapons. Let's face it, that conclusion was bad news. President Trump should've figured out exactly what happened. Now you've got McCain's Rebel Army (ie: US sponsored ISIS terrorists) having bombed the busses of the elderly, women, and children being brought to government controlled areas.

The Afghani bombing...okay. Standing up to North Korea.....about time. Any involvement in Syria except for disintegrating ISIS....exactly the opposite of what President Trump promised in his campaign.

I do hope that President Trump realizes that if McCain is so thrilled about something, it was probably a bad idea.

Will the voters of AZ please end this !!

The opportunity to get rid of McCain won't exist until 2022

...until then,

...there's the rest of the GOP Senate to deal with in 2018.

“Will the voters of AZ please end this !!”

They had their chance in 2016. He won the GOP primary 51.7% to his leading opponent’s 39.2%. He then won the general election by 53.7% to his Democrat opponent’s 40.7%.

The people had two ballot box opportunities to send McCain home last year. Both times they said they wanted McCain to stick around another 6 years.

What you state in #44 on this thread is what I fear. We can only hope and pray that a weekend vacation away from his Dark Side advisors and "intel" cleared President Trump's thought process.

I'd like to hear some DC official outrage about McCain's Terrorists in Syria for bombing busses with elderly, women, and children in them. Why not? I'd like to see the Prince and Princess sent back to their realm. We voted for President Trump and to NOT have a dynasty in DC.

If those things happen, perhaps your fears are premature.

Saying that works as well as saying it to a termite infestation in your home unfortunately.

Why does he do these things? Because he believes he's entitled to do them. The *only* reason he ran for President in '08 was so that he could outrank his father and grandfather - not to serve the nation, only to serve his fractured psyche. That's why he lost. He deliberately sabotaged Palin (the best part of his campaign) because she overshadowed him - thereby stupidly contributing to his loss.

He's certifiably insane. His wife finances his campaigns, and he just got re-elected, so we're stuck with this mad man - again - until 2022.

Obviously the power owns McCain. What the hell do they have on Trump and why didn’t they use it to stop him in the primaries?

He still has not been invited to the White House. That is how important his opinion and knowledge is to the President.

Good gravy...McCain is such a knob. Senility has to have set in.

Promises of busting up the DC Establishment and the status quo is what got Trump elected in the first place and McCain is too stupid to see it.

Yeah, well McCain was a bridge to far for me, love Sarah but I could not bring myself to vote for McCain.

Bush or Gore? Easy Bush
Bush or Kerry? Easy Bush, even thou it was obvious Bush was not a conservative.
McCain or Obama? Easy no way am I voting for either.
Romney or Obama? Easy Romney

When Todd pointed to those who say “the Washington establishment sucked [Trump] in” and compromised his conservative populism and “America first” agenda, McCain unequivocally expressed his glee at the prospect.

“I hope so!” McCain said before laughing.

I'm sure McCain hopes Trump adopts his establishment positions - as McCain knows from experience, his positions are a sure-fire recipe for losing at the polls when 2020 rolls around, and McCain does not want to see a second Trump term.

Those of us who voted for Trump are watching, and we expect to see the president we voted for, not the president John McCain and Paul Ryan want. If we don't get that, 2018 and 2020 are likely to be grim for the GOP.
