Donations have poured in to support the wife and five children of a fallen Green Beret killed fighting ISIS in Afghanistan on April 8 far exceeding a $15,000 goal with a total of more than $293,000 collected in two days.
The GoFundMe page to help the family of Army Special Forces Staff Sgt. Mark De Alencar was started by a military wife who is also a family friend.
"Our community has been hit hard in the last passing months and I just felt the need to try and do my part and help out his family," Nikki Damron wrote on the donation page, adding that De Alencar's wife "now has the task of raising their five kids on her own." The children range in age from 3 to 17, Biz Pac Review reported.
"As a fellow military wife, I feel it is my duty to make every effort to ensure his wife and family are taken care of," she wrote.

Original goal was only $15,000. So it is currently just over 20 times the original goal (20 x $15,000 = $300,000)
I am continually amazed by the generosity of Americans to people in real need.
I live in an area of NH where there are people in need, there is not a lot of money around here. I have, along with others, helped women, non EBT types, make up small shortages in the checkout line at the local food store.
This is something I never saw in 40 years in exile in Mass, there are a lot of good people out there.
She gets $400,000 in life insurance

plus $1716 a month for the minor children
Plust $250 a month for 2 years
plus health benefits (Tricare)
Oops. Miscounted the children. Subtract $286 a month.
Doesn’t replace him though.
Nope, just pointing out there are lots of folks who will kick in for a good sob story without thinking. Lots of folks lose spouses and end up destitute. She’s milking it for all its worth.
How is his wife “ Milking it “ ? A fellow military wife and friend set up a go fund me page with a goal of racing $15 thousand to help the woman out. Due to the extreme good nature of fellow Americans the amount has exceeded anything they imagined.
Man, that comment sucked!
