He’s the man who cried gay-bashing.

A 50-year-old man who claimed he was the victim of an anti-gay bias attack outside Madison Square Garden has been arrested — not only for making up the incident, but also for attacking the man who was arrested for the bogus crime, officials said Friday.

Curtis Campbell told police that 26-year-old Grant Leach kicked him in the groin and hurled anti-gay profanities at him and two friends on Seventh Ave. near W. 33rd St. about 8 a.m. on March 12, authorities said.

Cops arrested Leach nearby and charged him with assault and harassment, police said. The charges were ultimately dropped when detectives looked over surveillance cameras in the area and learned that the clash never happened. That’s not all; Campbell allegedly grabbed a metal object and swung it at Leach, according to court papers.

I don’t disagree with that.

Sure signs that a “gay” “hate crime” is a hoax:

- body carving
- graffiti clearly visible to the public
- over-the-top, formulaic anti-”gay” language
- the “perpetrator” being alleged a Christian

That would include a large percentage of the MSM. Not that many cells available.

Grant here (from the article). Just came across this thread from Google. Much of the speculation in the thread certainly isn’t far off of what happened. I was indeed thrown in Rikers Island for a week, and once I bailed out and got the call from my lawyer that my charges were being thrown out AND the “victim” was being arrested, my faith in the justice system increased by a couple of points. Can’t say much about the incident as my assailant’s case is ongoing, but it’s great to see rational individuals understanding that these hoaxes are a serious issue (unlike all of the people who sent me threatening Facebook messages while I was in jail who lack critical thinking skills and will take anything the media claims at face value).

Going through the bookings/jail/media defamation process certainly sucked, but I’d be lying if I didn’t say that this experience hasn’t opened my eyes to a lot of injustices such as this that happen on nearly a daily basis. Thanks for the support, and just as all of you are doing, I’m behind the prosecution 100% in throwing the book at this bullshit artist.
