Jared Kushner and his wife Ivanka Trump enlisted the services of Risa Heller, a New York City public relations figure known for her work with Democrats including former Rep. Anthony Weiner (D-NY), Sen. Chuck Schumer (D-NY), and Gov. David Paterson (D-NY), when they came to Washington to take up their official posts in the Trump White House, according to a report in Buzzfeed. The revelation came amid reports that a New York City set with a history of friendly ties to the Democratic party is gaining traction in President Donald Trump’s White House, much to the chagrin of conservative commentators. Members of the Kushner family itself donated large sums to Democratic causes until a few years ago, and Jared has reportedly been accused of being “a Democrat” by more nationalist and populist factions within the White House. Another oft-cited member of this NYC-clique is the Director of Trump’s National Economic Council, registered Democrat and former Goldman Sachs executive Gary Cohn.
Asked by Buzzfeed about her choice, Ivanka responded in a statement, “Risa is incredibly talented, driven and passionate. She is a formidable advocate and respected by all as a trustworthy and honest broker of facts.”
Her husband Jared echoed her sentiments. “She’s the best fighter in the business, is universally respected, and most importantly has always told me what she really thinks, good or bad,” he said.

I’m really not liking the direction that Jared and Ivanka are taking, vis a vis, their influence in the Trump administration.
Every other day, there’s some new revelation about them that unsettles me.

The article is from Breitbart, which backed Trump wholeheartedly. It’s not like it came from CNN or MSNBC.
The only thing separating Trump from his base is Trump himself. His base voted for him because he said he would repeal 0bamacare, build the wall, reform the tax code and correct the trade imbalance.
So far 0bamacare is here to stay because Trump supported Paul Ryan attempt to force an 0bamacare style bill down our throats, his party in congress will not fund the wall and he has abandoned his pledge to reform the tax code and will work with democrats instead. What he will do about trade remains to be seen. In addition, he has surrounded himself with either GOPe advisors and his top 2 advisors are his hard core leftist daughter and son an law.
If you can be happy with all this, then more power to you.

You don’t understand how devastating leaks can be and how this opens up the Trumps to all the scum of the Democrat left. Jamie Gorelick was bad enough, but at least she might be cautious in not wanting to get disbarred or prosecuted. Do you really think a liberal NYC pr type, with close ties to leading NY Democrats, can be trusted to protect Republican and conservative secrets and interests????
I’d Trump went on TV tonight and said the wall was built and the check from Mexico vleared, I believe a number of people here would buy it hook, line and sinker. And any effort to say it didn’t happen would instantly be labeled fake news and part of the deep state effort.
When finally accepted, they would brush it off as 38DDlevel chess.
Why does Kush need a PR person? Do they have an image issue ala Weiner?
