Christians most persecuted group in the world as vicious attacks grow

The recent Palm Sunday bombings at two Egyptian churches that killed 44 worshippers and wounded more than 100 others are the latest in a spate of deadly attacks targeting the world’s Christians.

Nearly 90,000 of the faithful were killed for their beliefs in violent and gruesome attacks last year, according to a report by the Center for Studies on New Religions, making Christians the most persecuted group in the world. While some were killed as part of state-sanctioned persecution, as in places like North Korea, nearly one-third of the Christians who died in 2016 were executed at the hands of Islamic extremists like ISIS.

The study also found that as many as 600 million Christians were prevented from practicing their faith in 2016.

"There are many places on Earth where being a Christian is the most dangerous thing you can be,” Robert Nicholson of the Philos Project told Fox News in January.

Luke 9: 23-26

23 And He was saying to them all, “If anyone wishes to come after Me, he must deny himself, and take up his cross daily and follow Me. 24 For whoever wishes to save his life will lose it, but whoever loses his life for My sake, he is the one who will save it. 25 For what is a man profited if he gains the whole world, and loses or forfeits himself? 26 For whoever is ashamed of Me and My words, the Son of Man will be ashamed of him when He comes in His glory, and the glory of the Father and of the holy angels.

The Holy Spirit speaks!

Revelation 14:13 And I heard a voice from heaven, saying, “Write, ‘Blessed are the dead who die in the Lord from now on!’” “Yes,” says the Spirit, “so that they may rest from their labors, for their deeds follow with them.”

14 Then I looked, and behold, a white cloud, and sitting on the cloud was one like the Son of Man, having a golden crown on His head and a sharp sickle in His hand. 15 And another angel came out of the temple, crying out with a loud voice to Him who sat on the cloud, “Put in your sickle and reap, for the hour to reap has come, because the harvest of the earth is ripe.” 16 Then He who sat on the cloud [p]swung His sickle over the earth, and the earth was reaped.

“Not surprised.”

Jesus said, “The world hated me and they will hate you.” And now we are seeing it and HIS words are so true.

The enemy of Islam is Jesus Christ. The infidels will continue to attack Christianity until they cease to exist. The salvation of Christ will finally end Islam, when every knee shall bow to the one True Living God.

from the article: "Nearly 90,000 of the faithful were killed for their beliefs in violent and gruesome attacks last year, according to a report by the Center for Studies on New Religions, making Christians the most persecuted group in the world."

Thanks for posting, but such numbers have never made sense to me.
For years we've been told that 100,000 Christians are killed every year for their faith -- not 95,000 not 105,000 and yet there are never details of who & where this happens, and why is it the same number each year?

Of course, I have no doubt that many Christians are persecuted and some killed, but these numbers seem dubious.
Consider, for example: if 100 people die in an airplane crash that is international news, and if 50 die in a bus crash that is at least national news, so when we see statistics we know they are based on something solid.

But how are 100,000 Christians killed each year and yet nobody but nobody seems to know who, where or why?

Not only Islam but every other false religion. Then the prophetic promise given at His birth will come to pass, PEACE ON EARTH AND GOOD WILL TOWARDS MEN!

Joy to the world!

Thanks for your link:

So there are 1,207 documented cases in one year, a huge number if reported the same way we see airplane crashes reported.
But it's not 90,000 and where are those others coming from, North Korea?

Understood, and in places like North Korea that number is doubtless already virtually zero, in which case the numbers persecuted & killed must also be near zero.
I'm not trying to be cute here, just wondering why these numbers seem so... ah, amorphous?

Understood. Would Muslim deaths be exaggerated and Christian deaths under-reported?

While Christians are not being killed in the US they are certainly persecuted by many of the University professors, Celebrities and the Democrat party. Seemingly here in the USA if you cannot justify your lifestyle by the scriptures you want them destroyed

Here all who suffered sword or flame
For truth, or Jesus’ lovely name,
Shout vict’ry now and hail the Lamb,
And bow before the great I AM,
And bow before the great I AM.

Note: This is the second verse of the hymn On Zion’s Gorious Summit

"Would Muslim deaths be exaggerated and Christian deaths under-reported?"

Oh my, that's a hard one... let's see, is the Pope Catholic?

Oh wait, now I'm not so sure that analogy works any more, how about, do Zebras have stripes?
That should get us the right answer.

;-)
