President Trump signed a bill Thursday freeing states to withhold federal family planning grant money from Planned Parenthood, marking the first major pro-life legislation to be signed into law in more than a decade.
The bill unravels an Obama-era regulation that insisted states couldnt refuse to spend family planning money with Planned Parenthood or any other organization that performs abortions.
This is a major pro-life victory, said House Speaker Paul D. Ryan.
More than a dozen states moved to strip Planned Parenthood of government funding in recent years as questions arose about the countrys largest abortion provider. In particular, lawmakers in Republican-led states were reacting to a series of undercover videos that purported to show Planned Parenthood officials negotiating the sale of body parts from aborted fetuses.

Amen, my FRiend!
I’m backing Trump 100% so far.
If you thought otherwise, I wanted you to know.
If you don’t support him 100% and were trying to take me to task, that’s okay.
I just wanted to make sure.
Some states are increasing it.
Why doesn’t the bill just cut off federal funds to planned parenthood?
Are there any stats on how many states will actually cut off the funds?
I don’t expect to fully agree with Pres. Trump on everything. I don’t believe that should happen with any President - it’s how we got the left’s hero worship and unfailing forgiveness of the innumerable sins of Obama.
But I keep coming back to two words: Hillary Clinton. She was never an option.Actually two more words: Neal Gorsuch.
I’d rather have an imperfect, politically incorrect, sometimes cringe-worthy Trump any day
RE: Trump gives states power to cut off Planned Parenthood money
Give the states power?
Didn’t the states have the power to begin with?
“Jared and Ivanka will not like this.”
Say what you want, Jared and Ivanka are Secular Progressive Jews, and as such really have no place in her father’s administration.
From article:
“The Obama administration moved late last year to stop the states, enacting a regulation that prohibited states from considering abortion in doling out federal family planning grant money.”
I don’t think I’ll like everything he does. I believe I said that last year before the election. I did say I was sure I’d like most of what he would do. I was certain of it.
Yes, the Clinton factor really cuts to the chase doesn’t it.
My nearest problem with him so far, was Ryancare. I think we’re going to get something far better than that by the time we’re done. We’ll see.
Other than that, I don’t object to anything he has done.
Some of the things folks have been upset here about, were things I recognized as game-changers or having secondary benefits. They let the rest of the world know the United States wasn’t a toothless tiger any longer, or that Trump would find a way to get things done one way or another.
Thank you President Trump.
Is this part of the “centrist” track the WaPo claims Trump is taking???
BWAHAHAHAHA!!!!
but he’s not a “Conservative” hahahahaha
Amen & AMEN!!!
I believe they are all mental to some degree. The disordered logic in their posts can be stunningly bad at time. Plus they always spew the same talking points almost verbatim.
God is GOOD!!!
Thankful we have President Trump in the White House!
Well there was something going on. That’s for sure.
I looked up the “on forum” for five or six people, and they only had about ten posts each, and start dates of 2008 to recent. I’d never seen them before, all making snarky insults.
I agree with your take on it as well. Thanks.
Amen!
Things are happening for the good for a change.
Good!
Federalism lives!
BOL re the reality of your post.
You left out the Judases, Brutuses and other back stabbers in your excellent reply.
