After warnings yesterday, and on the heels of a "very good call" with President Trump, China has escalated its threats to North Korea over its nuclear tests. In another Global Times op-ed, China warns "if the North makes another provocative move this month, the Chinese society will be willing to adopt severe restrictive measures that have never been seen before..."
Yesterday's editorial in the military-focused Global Times tabloid, owned and operated by the Communist Party's People's Daily newspaper, said that North Koreas nuclear activities must not jeopardize northeastern China, and that if the North impacts China with its illicit nuclear tests through either "nuclear leakage or pollution", then China will respond with force.

Nah, there is still a DMZ.
The NORKs will need reducation in the ways of Capitalism. Reeducate, build factories, build infrastructure and then open the DMZ. That will be more orderly than what happened in Germany.
Could take 10 or 20 years.
Great to see China taking the lead here. The meeting with President Trump seems to have been productive...
ping!
Stock up on Kimchi.
Send them flowers and a box of chocolate. Then I would invest in railway stock in Korea.
LOL, and thanks for the ping!
Some way will need to be devised whereby the virtual slaves comprising NK society can earn enough to be able to AFFORD the occasional hamburger or slice of pizza. Acquiring even a second hand automobile would seem to be a faint glimmer far off in the distance.
Have to agree with you...
Funny thing happened to my computer, it decided it had to update itself...ROFL...so I’m back to enjoy the conversations...
China invades NK and annexes the territory. What would the US and SK do?
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Applaud.
S.K. cannot afford to bring N.K. out of abject poverty and U.S. libs would demand that we do it.
From your keyboard to God's ears.
I like your observation. It really didn’t take much. Trump just refused to back down. Very unlike Clinton/Obama. Draw a Red Line in the sand. Win a prize.
” ... Koreans are a very proud and nationalistic people and they will pursue reunification as a matter of pride.”
Yes; I’ve know more than a dozen South Koreans over the years, and every one of them has said that reunification, on their terms, is the ultimate goal and will eventually happen. However, I agree with posters who say that it would take at least a generation for the South to “digest” the North, given the economic and political situation in the North.
Nothing. I hope. Or, maybe applaud.
Why would we want to defend NK?
I want them to expose the murder of the DNC IT guy, Seth Rich.
Could they do that please.
UN voted against resolution just now.... 9 voted yes, 2 against and 3 refrained...the reps are no speaking their minds after the vote....
Excellent chocolate cake !
It hit me on way home from town. Russia, China and U.S. are all dealing with populations of extreme Muslin radicals. Russia and China within their natural borders
The enemy of my enemy is my friend?
Would this be more evidence of Mr. Trump’s lack of experience and diplomacy in international affairs? /s
Why argue over the fruit cake when no one in your house even likes fruitcake ....
