It’s over. Sedgwick keeps coming in better and better for Estes. We have called the race for Ron Estes.”
That’s good news!
Another 10 precincts in Harvey County just were reported, and Estes gained 322 votes, now leading with just 8 precincts out of 38 to go, 3,314 to 2,996.
Groovy!
Here’s hoping!
Thanks for the update, I can turn in now.
Nice!
Estes 52.1% 44,322
James Thompson (Democratic) 46.1% 39,242
Decision Desk calls it for Estes/Trump
On to GA!
Let me guess, the Democrat is pro-gun, anti-abortion, anti-tax, pro-military, everything the Democrats stand for!
Update: 4/11/2017 10:13PM
Race already called, Estes overtakes Thompson now in Harvey.
Very happy!!
Estes wasn’t the greatest candidate.
I’m following the Sedgwick County government website. They just updated to report 26 new precincts, and Estes gained about 1,000 votes out of these, now trailing in the county 27,111 to 23,176, with 127 of 257 precincts in.
Really looks like the ‘Rats voted in the early voting period, and the GOPers showed up today. Sedgwick has about 70% of the voters in the district.
Looks like very low turnout, which should have helped the Dem. It didn’t.
It’s now starting to look like an Estes landslide. With 74% in, Ron is up 6% plus. I call that a good win.
Ron Estes (Republican) 52.3% 46,076
James Thompson (Democratic) 45.8% 40,358
Estes is getting hammered on his FB page. Good grief, what is the matter with these morons? https://www.facebook.com/ronesteskansas/
I was very active member of the Libertarian Party. I stopped because, as much as I support their positions, I have seen how **enormously** effective the Tea Party groups have been in getting candidates who support the Constitution elected.
The various Tea Party groups have been outstanding. If combined with the energy of the Libertarians real transformations could be made not only in my state but nationally.
Demented dems are always sore losers
The Harper County PTA just let out and Estes won this county by 837 votes to 307 (72/26%).
Estes swept the western eight whole counties and 20% of Pawnee, with no less than 71% of the vote, except for Pratt which he carried with 64%.
I wonder what it would be without the libertarian.
