It’s also hard to understand when you see some of the SCOTUS rulings.

The partisan hostility surrounding the confirmation of Justice Neil Gorsuch is of concern because it could undermine public confidence in the apolitical nature of the judicial system That ship has sailed.

We in the judiciary do not do our business in a partisan, ideological manner, Roberts said.
Of course not. There's nothing partisan or ideological about it. It's just a matter of doing what you're told to do, isn't it Johnnie boy?

Roberts and Gorsuch are close personal friends of many years.
Will the hostility to Roberts’ friend affect the way Roberts relates to Gorsuch on the court? Will it affect the way they both team up, or don’t team up on certain issues? Will it impact (or not) the opinion they have of certain lawyers and cases that go the the SCOTUS?

Obama still has anything he got on Roberts for the Obamacare decision (and Rice all but said he’s got stuff). Blackmail doesn’t end once you give in unless you can be sure the evidence has been destroyed. And Roberts cannot be sure.

That ship sailed with the "New Deal" decisions, and ramped into high gear with all sorts of judicial shenanigans since then.
The courts are to blame for the way people perceive the courts.

Forget the preening about judges being non-partisan. Most judges are political and partisan, especially on collegial courts. They are duty-bound not to express such views in public, but in private, among friends and colleagues, most judges are intensely political.

Why should anyone want to get along with progressives? They need to be defeated and humiliated, not tolerated.

If the liberals had the Supreme Court, it would be lights out for the US. That is what a killary President would have meant.

The justice system is apolitical? On what planet?
I supported the confirmation of this dork. To my everlasting shame.

Somebody needs to clue Roberts in to the fact that the judiciary has been politicized for a very, very long time. Has he never heard of FDR’s attempts to pack the court? How about what happened to Judge Bork? Yes, I think we are in hyper partisan times when the divide is worse than ever, but the court has never been free of politics.

How did this moron get on the Court? Any cupcake with two neurons knows it’s political all the way.

We in the judiciary do not do our business in a partisan, ideological manner, Roberts said. The new justice is not a Republican or a Democrat; hes a member of the Supreme Court. But its hard for people to understand that when they see the process that leads up to it.
This man is blind and deaf to all that is around him. You have to be a fool to believe that Democrat judges are not politically biased.
