Not according to Chesty Puller’s Ghost on farcebook... the Marines aren’t able any more thanks to the social engineers.

Interesting completely p’d-off site, including recent commentary on the degradation being instigated by the recent nude “female” scandals.... sounding familiarly like the secret service female leadership and the colombian hooker story compromising only the pervo agents for obamaumao’s protection crew. the recent upheaval in secret service in re: the trump surveillance confirm— exposing brennan and clapper.

A heads up to the military and then a press conference with a few photos and radio intercepts.
.............................................................
So that all the critics including you can nit pick whatever steps the president takes in his INFORMED capacity as Commander in Chief? Politicians micro managing our military efforts has gone from BAD to WORSE. We elected a Commander in Chief. Let him do his job!
This country is divided to the extent we can’t even elect an immensely qualified man to the Supreme Court without childish threats and intimidations by the left. Where in the devil do you expect to get consensus of opinion from “we the people”that the president is acting in our best interests? Far better to have the courage of the convictions you had when you voted and support your decision without second guessing yourself!

Node level attack— as in silicon valley servers... if, in fact they are not EMP secure. Just like the grid doesn’t need a “country wide” effect. Lowered expectation of targeting combined with weaknesses succumbing. The scenario anyway, that’s what he meant.

Blah blah blah....do you know how foolish you sound?

President Trump doesn’t care what you want, I don’t care what you want, and I am sure most here don’t care what you want. Shut up already!

Nobody is disputing her liberal stance on many issues. All that is being said here is that there's no direct evidence that it was because of her that Trump sent the missiles to Syria. If anyone has direct evidence of that, I'm all ears.

Excellent response. Well reasoned and very informative. I’m sure you’ve brought many around to your point of view. Do you have anything to say other than Blah, blah, blah... I don’t care?

Elements of the military industrial (and now medical) complex whose entire financial planning is/was predicated on a hitlery rigged win, which the American people stopped, coupled with the often contested example of State’s Rights— the Electoral College which elects the electors from each State, and not a popular vote (with vast fraud possible if not State level monitored, as the Founders envisioned).

Actually, according to our Founders, an informed populace is one of the requirements of our continued liberty. But I'm sure you know better. Interesting screen name you have there Molly. I wonder if your namesake knew why she was risking her life before she went into battle?

I wonder if your namesake knew why she was risking her life before she went into battle?’...........................

I’m sure she did. She was, after all, present on the battlefield from the beginning of the fight, carrying water to the soldiers. She didn’t shake and quiver and run for the hills when endangered, but stepped in and kept the gun firing when her husband fell, regardless of personal risk. There still are, as there were then, people who put the OBJECTIVE above their personal safety. Unfortunately, far too many spoiled brat ignoramuses think they are entitled to demand compliance from their bettors. As far as an informed populace is concerned, I strongly doubt this country at this time can produce a majority informed populace. Sound Bites seem to be the norm for the uneducated masses.

There are a zillion quotes hat might be quoted here, but perhaps the best is one also from Jefferson.....”Occasionally the tree of Liberty must be watered with the blood of Patriots and Tyrants.”

Ok, now I understand why you advocate not informing the people as to why the nation is going to war. We are just fools and deserve to be led blindly whichever way our leaders tell us to go. No need to even try to live up to our Founders' ideals. What you are advocating is contrary to everything our Founders believed but if you believe that is what is best for our country at this time then march on Molly.

A great quote. Of course it has nothing to do with the fact that you prefer our leaders to lead us ignorant masses into a war for reasons we are unable to understand. You seem to be a pretty good example of one of the uninformed masses which you so rightly fear.

What utter nonsense.

Nobody's leading anybody into a war. This was a very isolated action. "Unable to understand"? Orly?

Try to control your NeverTrump impulses.

The President made a decision you apparently disagree with. Get over it. There will be many more such decisions.

I trust this President far more than any other that has served in the last 30 years, and certainly more than I trust your armchair quarterbacking.

Your hysterical projections simply don't comport with objective reality.

By the way, the administration did inform the People about the reasons for this isolated attack (as opposed to "going to war"), and explained the intelligence upon which the response was based—intel which was backed by Israel, among others.

No amount of unhinged hand-wringing is going to make this incident into something it's not.

If you prefer something like Obama's feckless Syria policy, with its empty threats and phony lines in the sand, you'll likely be disappointed moving forward.

There's a new leader in Washington, and he's going to lead. That's a good thing...

As you noted President Trump has some heavy weight enemies.

Enemies, who will pay anything to stop Trump from draining the Swamp in DC and across America.

Thank God for the vision of our founding fathers!

Depends who the regime is. Panama & Egypt worked out well.

Panama is not relevant as it's not in the mid-east--completely different geo-political dynamic. As for Egypt, it worked out well despite US interventionist policy, not because of it.

Still, if we're in it for "regime change" as Tillerson claims, that seems to argue against the concept of a brush-back pitch. My feeling is that it's a bad move, and I pray it does not presage more bad moves to come.

That's what Molly said: "As far as an informed populace is concerned, I strongly doubt this country at this time can produce a majority informed populace." She prefers that we remain uninformed because we are at this time unable to "produce a majority informed populace."

Or maybe your contention is that we are not being led to war? Hell, we are already at war in Syria. Our troops are within the borders of a sovereign nation against the expressed wishes of its government. That is an act of war. We are arming and training rebel forces that are fighting to overthrow the government of Syria. That is an act of war.

Nobody's leading anybody into a war. This was a very isolated action. "Unable to understand"?

We are upping the ante and sending in more troops.

U.S. Is Sending 400 More Troops to Syria

Understanding may be my problem. Dealing with the facts seems to be yours.

The President made a decision you apparently disagree with. Get over it.

No thank you. My disagreement is not with the President's actions in Syria - it is with the lack of information he has given us to justify his actions. The only evidence I have seen to date has come from jihadi sources. And I know that they lie, falsify evidence and stage death scenes.

By the way, the administration did inform the People about the reasons for this isolated attack (as opposed to "going to war"), and explained the intelligence upon which the response was based—intel which was backed by Israel, among others.

I've heard the words - I haven't seen President Trump present any evidence. We've been lied into war before. The Gulf of Tonkin incident which was used to lead us into the Vietnam war was exposed as a lie 50 years later when the USS Maddox's log book was declassified. We fired first, the N.Vietnamese returned fire. link IN DIRECT CONTRADICTION TO WHAT WE WERE TOLD. I'll leave Saddam's WMDs out for the moment. Maybe in 50 years the truth will come out. We've had enough soldiers die in wars that weren't in our nation's interest. As Jefferson said, "An informed populace is essential to liberty. I'll keep citing facts, pointing out errors and asking questions about this latest rush into war until my fingers wear out. Just ignore me if you prefer to listen to war mongering jingoists. It's easy to do. I'd suggest you also ignore Larry Schweikart, the author of of this post as he says:

"Even now, I don’t know whose gas it was."

Try this movie or just search YouTube for EMP videos - there are a lot

Thanks, I thought perhaps they had made the book, One Second After, into a movie...That would be one scary movie. I binge read the first several chapters of the book, but have not finished it—just too upsetting at the time.

-I don’t think it is even possible to fathom all the disruption— and as far as I had read into the book, there was no mention of nuclear power plants or dams failing. \

Another problem is that even though the military has hardened many of their assets, they still utilize the civilian power grid.

I have watched a number of videos, but not sure I have seen the one to which you linked.

Thanks again :)

listen Buster, I’ll take you on any day of the week and twice on Sunday. Your knowledge of history is extremely limited and bordered by the rusty fence of liberal thinking.
No genuine leader is going to tell the world what he is going to do before he does it and certainly not insist on playing politics with media releases while the lives of his soldiers are at stake. Obama shot off his mouth about every move our military made well in advance of any movement including date and time of withdrawal. We have paid a heavy price for his stupidity...or collusion with the enemy...take your pick.
You are obviously one of those white glove mouthpieces who think you know more about our troop movements than our generals do. Armchair generals are a dime a dozen. Real generals are few and far between. All of the good ones believe in SURPRISE! All of the good ones also know the best laid plans are out the window the moment the first shot is fired.
I voted for Donald Trump to lead this country. I did NOT vote for you to try to tell him what to do or insist everyone has a right to know everything. LOOSE LIPS SINK SHIPS still applies. I would still take a George Patton or an Irwin Rommel over a Bernard Montgomery or Omar Bradley any day, any time. You seem to believe in fixed defenses. I believe the best defense is a good offense. And a good offense DOES NOT entail telling the world your game plan before the ball is snapped.
Trump is trying to avoid war as much as possible. He was handed a MESS by the very person you seem to advocate he emulate, Obama. Trump is trying to outmaneuver the enemy. Trump is playing psychological warfare first and so far he is WINNING! Too bad if you don’t like it. I do!

:)

Forgot that Newt Ginrich is very concerned about the grid—so he likely is pushing for hardening. North Korea is not the only bad actor that could set of an EMP and the grid could go down due to cyber hacking—not as bad as an EMP, but I am pretty sure it would cause massive disruption.

I seem to recall that Trump has mentioned hardening the grid in a couple campaign speeches, so hopefully hardening it will be art of his infrastructure upgrade program.
